Hey guys, I'm very excited to say that Darren Blythe (from SimHQ) has given me permission to convert his Assetto Corsa track over to rFactor 2. For those that haven't seen his track it's the best barbagallo that's been made. I have basically re-textured 70% of objects to fit in with rF2 and where I could I recycled ISI textures. I have made a few new animated objects and replaced some TSO's with ISI TSO's. There is still a few things to do but here is taste of what's to come. This track was very well made for AC, and it's fantastic that Darren has allowed conversion to rF2 and Nibiru has taken the task on. It already looks good to me (from the video), and I'm eagerly waiting for it's release now We get an extra course in the SHORT, but is the dirt track still there...?
Thank you ATM lowest FPS along main straight is 80 highest is around 120 I have set up high and medium detail settings so that will help some gain FPS if there is an issue.
Having done a little bit of testing with the rF2 version I can honestly say that this track is right up there with best available. Darren's AC version is such a fantastic base for Nibiru to convert from that even the initial conversion looked ace! Nibiru's conversion works have totally enhanced the product for rF2. 'Immersive' is the word here. The short wait for release will be worth it people.
I never really played much AC, but I did run this track a quite a bit when the Ginetta mod came out. Had a blast with it. Really looking forward to the rF2 conversion!
Awesome thanks for converting this over, one of my favourite little tracks and having been lucky enough to go there last year gives me extra excitement for this track
