If AC gets some neat stuff from rF2, chances are that we'll someday get some neat stuff from AC too.

Agreed.

Modders clearly want to use the AC platform, so it's time certain sections of the community became more accepting of cross-sim collaboration/mods. Hell, even ISI approved one of their tracks to be converted to AC. Baffles me why it bothers some users so much.

Some very good points, Rich.
If everybody started opening up just a bit more, think of all the cool content we could have in each of our prefered sims.
 
Do you really like that? While I think the model is gorgeous, I found the drive very "meh" and not very communicative. Very, very forgiving.
I asked Patrick about the possibility to convert it to rf2 and he said that he wanted to collaborate with MAK-Corp, but MAK Corp hasnt accepted!

I have to confess I have never driven it as I uninstalled AC, I was only going off the model and videos I have seen, and of course it would be completely different in rF2 with the tyre model and physics.

What is it, v0.1? Given the people involved it will likely be a very nice representation. I haven't touched it and won't until 1.0 or something like it, so I'll refrain from comments.
 
I can say you all that this track is having low fps. I am having Intel i7 + gtx 780 and I am having 41 fps medium settings with 24 cars.

Argh!
 
Resurrection of old thread! :D

Track needs few optimization passes to match current standards, which only author can do. We have no access to original 3ds max file. ;)

Personally I'd like to see this track updated to current standards as well.
 
First of all, I don't know when this new DX11 version will be ready. I'm trying to make a beta of the F1 layout ready for use in our RaceRfactor championship in this year, but I still don't know if I will be enought time. It's possible that I will get an incomplete version, withouth some details, but If I get an enought good and operative version, I will share it here, for the leagues who need the track for his championships and other people who want to try it (remember, only F1 layout, initially and only if I can do it in time), before to share the final version in steam, with all layouts.

Now I show you a pair of changes that I'm doing to improve de track. First capture show the current version, second the new improved version:
