Hi, I´m trying since a couple of days to get Multi Instances working. I have 3 separate Installations of rF2 B798. Fresh and clean install B798 Lite on my Root Server and on my local PC. Each Installation have his own User Data Folder with e.g. player=server1 and player.json=server1.json. The Package Folder is separate, with Directory Link in each Installation (wich was working with B660...) Each Server have different Port Settings, Auto Download is enabled and on my local installation auto install, too. The shortcut is pointing to the Installation Folder with the option e.g. +profile=server1, +profile=server2 etc.. When I start only 1 Server, erverything is working, including GetMod. When I start 2 or more Server, GetMod is failing (Mod could not be installed/MOD download failed. I tried also with the original folder "player" and "player.jason, same problem. I`m really very close to return to Race07 on our League Server, because our Drivers are not very amused about this situation. Maybe it`s on my end, but i really tried everything and i stuck on this Problem. Any ideas/tipps? /Edit: come on...that`s not true. I tried to start the server without password and it`s working. Could pls someone from ISI confirm this issue?
I am in a similar situation, I will try it tonight without the password and report back. In my case I've found a single running passworded server and Get Mod is successful most of the time. With two servers running the success rate goes a lot lower. I've watched the traffic with Wireshark and the rF2 server is accepting the password but not responding to the GET command for the rfmod. Eventually (7-10 tires) rF2 responds to the GET and the mod will download.
Confirmed. I remove the passwords and I download the mod the first time, every time. As soon as the passwords are back on the server, it takes multiple attempts.
Get Mod + password is still broken in B860... It takes multiple attempts to GetMod. GetMod without password works fine.
Yeah, if creating a Vmod with custom skins and teams and testing it, isn't enough work for a server host. I made a topic in the general discusion to get it under the attention. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/22055-Dedicated-server-GetMod-Passworded-server It seems that the clients are so used to download the Vmod and content from another sites and install everything manual. They even don't remember that it should be easy: - Login with the password (download Vmod) - Click on get missing content - Get a cup of coffee - Choose a car - And drive. anyway i hope it will be fixed soon...
