    Looking at that screenshot? Yeah, it's ugly as hell.
    In-game? Not so much. :)

    Why use screenshots from YouTube video? I kind of get what you mean that some colors seem a bit washed out. But YouTube is bad example for screenshots, it both blurs the image and removes color due to compression. Post screenshots from in-game and we can compare.

    Today I tried this update of brianza, and so far I only drove the Junior layout with the F3's..... and I had a blast :D This is a really suiting layout to this cars (of which I knew they were fun, but they were even better then I remembered :) ) Performance was good too (well, of the game anyway. My performance wasn't to good, resulting in some guardrail collisions :p )

    Hey guys, can someone explain this to me. Why is the brightness around the sun not wandering together with the sun throughout the day?

    GRAB_006.JPG

    It looks wrong to me...

    Session is set to 1 pm.

    12pm: Sun itself and the second picture is the sun direction.

    Care to explain a bit more? Not sure I understand what you mean there.

    No auto exposure. No sun glare effect. Wrong white point. I guess we have to live with that.

    So what is this effect around the horizon then? lol...

    It looks good around the evening and the morning, when the sun is around it (around the horizon) but at noon it looks very strange...

    BTW: It isn't like that around Oregon Raceway...

    You can't, because the information about the intensity of the light sources is lost after tone mapping and post processing is the final step and starts after that. Without information about luminosity it is impossible to implement a realistic bloom effect for instance.

    @Flaux
    It depends on the location of the track. You don't see that bright horizon at tracks close to the equator.

    What would you do if you could (or what can be done still)? Will be very interesting to hear, please. Thanks for the explaining. :)
