Hi S397. Just can you tell us if the function "auto details FPS" correctly works ? With same graphics settings : More FPS ? (GPU) Less lag ? (CPU) Effective also if we play without AI ? Thank you very much. These kind of informations are strongly usefull for low and medium computer. @Christopher Elliott
Recently I switched to VSync on with Render Once Per VSync="3" and stuttering is gone (except on ocasions like race start where my system struggles to get 60 FPS). https://forum.studio-397.com/index....-prevents-stuttering-caused-by-100-cpu.32701/ There could be more lag but it would require proper testing like SPASKIS did with high speed camera
Thank's for the answer. But to have the lowest possible imput lag, in nvidia driver, it is better (not for FPS) to put : maximum pre-rendered frames = 1 (not 2/3). Thank's for your answer.
I already have maximum pre-rendered frames = 1 in nvidia settings Render Once Per VSync="3" is set in player.json or controller.json I have vsync on because somebody wrote that vsync + Render Once Per VSync="3" works for him. An it works for me and didn't notice (much) lag. I don't know if it makes any sense, maybe it doesn't. So you think maximum pre-rendered frames in nvidia settings is the same option as setting Render Once Per VSync in json. Which value is "stronger" if that is the case?
It works correctly when your fps goes down under certain limit. It can reduce opponent details, for example in NGTC Civics all windows disappears when fps hit "auto detail" limit. The main goal is to retain fps over certain limit. For me it is really helps when there big grids and big number of cars close around.
yeah it is usefull at race starts to keep the game playable, especially if there is rain (but it's better to turn it off if doing a video from replay)
