Some initial impressions from the UE4 I have:
The photorealistic games we have with UE4 are static with baked global illumination.
The engine does not have any solution for global illumination with day night cycle. So ACC will not look great compared to console games unless the developer add tricks of their own like some AAA games do.
Thats a disappointment with the engine because in that regard the visuals are inferior to even PS3 titles that have fully dynamic weather and day transition.
Those titles run on 60FPS even on the PS4. Also those fancy photorealistic materials we see in those games are the work of the developer.
UE4 also does not support MSAA. So it is either TAA or you have to use the more expensive options. I wonder if ACC will use some of those custom renderers for VR so they can get better AA at the cost of the things UE4 offers normally.
Insta regret . Should have waited more![]()
I didnt read what i was buying. . Just found one track, in single player mod, one vehicle. Very different ui from assetto corsa, have to find where to take off some effects i dont like that makes m little dizzy...Why is that?
Due to the conversion rates Steam recommends for my country I got the whole game for the price of a single track dlc for RF2.Got it for $20 at greenmangaming, a bargain.
Not that I'll play it until next year though.
Great , you now have something to drive ... enjoyBetter physics than rF2. Rain far surpasses rF2.
"Full Release" rF2:
AI doesn't work in rain.
Grip in the opposite places than in real life.
Puddles only cosmetic.
Huge performance dip.
FIRST-DAY EA ACC:
AI understands rain.
Rubbered line is correctly slick.
Full puddle simulation.
Small performance dip.
Forgot about HUGE ffb dampening which ruins the whole experienceBetter physics than rF2. Rain far surpasses rF2.

you race ontrack mate.Well the ffb in rf2's initial release was rattling like hell when u went off-track n stuff...so... not the best experience either I guess.
I wanted to check two things on ACC :
- Physics/FFB are they almost as good as RF2 ?
As I suspected, not at all.
- The graphics are they so beautiful as the marketing and the media rush ?
To my very great surprise, no !
I prefer the graphics of RF2 (and yes), especially on dry.
The effects of rain are slightly worse than I thought, but a little better than RF2 : but RF2 has the REAL ROAD, which explains some limitations.
RF2 and ACC fully in ULTRA, full HD, even graphic improvements with the nvidia control panel.
I had the impression that it was less smooth than rF2, for me.
In addition, there are too few adjustable settings, no dynamic sky, etc ......
And as expected, only the GT3, knowing that the 5 GT3 S397 and 3 GTE S397 are incredible.
Request a refund to steam, refund OK.
I watched Nikki video when it was live streamed, he didn’t notice a difference driving online or offline in the rain, people in the comments were saying itsbecausee tyre wear isn’t implemted yet.
Can someone confirm, as we know a certain someone above Likes to live under a bridge but I like to give folks the benefit of doubt
