The others are likely coming. I am sure the author wants to get the first one finished before diverting attention to others. Be patient, or provide some help yourself to do the others if you need them quicker.
Hi, first this is a great mod and thank you for your efforts. I'm just struggling a little with the outer edge of the tyres not being perfectly round especially in the pit lane. I've tried every graphical setting under the sun but when I'm cornering or going slow I notice the tyre edges with a slight staircasing :-(
Love your work! Absolutely brilliant mod! I'm pretty much broke so take this as my donation if you may:
Are the people that make this mod still active? I may donate as they do fantastic work and I can just about afford a cup of coffee lol
What I know Sderenno (and maybe some more) is still active. http://www.asrformula.com/ Donation link in the first post of this thread is still active.
Yes, go to the site. With luck, we will see a finalized version of the 1992 season mod at some point. Those cars are so fun and great for league racing. A more realistic/accurate version with less grip may come, too. And we can see the MP4/6 is next in the workshop
They are active, they responded to me couple of weeks ago. Btw when you donate they give you a cool present too
Quality takes time. ASR is not just painting some generic model with skins. They are simming the actual cars--shapes, engines, sounds, suspension, physics, etc.
Yes and I donated them for it. Meanwhile why not liven up the field we have? I don't see these as contradictionary.
They aren't. Just don't ask the people doing the real job to be distracted by your paint schemes. Do it yourself or ask others was my point. These cars take long enough to "birth" already. It is is a massive amount of work for Sdrenno and others.
Marc, show me please where in this thread I asked the people "doing the real job" to paint a few skins? I put the question literarly to everyone reading this topic, because I assume there are more people that would love to run some "make-believe" 91 skins until the full mod is done. You are being confrontational, and you are behaving like some spokesperson for the modmakers which you aren't. Stop that, it makes no sense and comes across as offensive/patronizing.
Thanks Nikos, I actually had overlooked that! Does anyone have an idea, with both of these mods... the cars look a little bit "frosted over" in their side reflections - i.e., a tad whiteish colored. Any settings I could check? Awesome mods. regards Helmut
GCC, I think it's all to do with the alpha layer, which is set by the modder; here's a quote from a guy on a different forum on the same subject: " I had the alpha probs too, I converted/made many skins to rF2, and darkening the alpha layer for 75% did the trick for me. No more milky shining skins, nearly going to matte." I've noticed the tracks themselves can alter the look of a car skin, & VLM's Mid Ohio (+ any other VLM track) & ISI's Limerock are examples of where a car can look great
