ASR Formula Open Wheel Classic

i would like to understand why this team almost never release a full grid (except from 1992), only few cars from various years.
which is a shame because their mods are awesome

Yes they are truly awesome ! I have been wondering that myself as well. The 1992 season has never been updated to DX11 if understand correctly?

yes, not updated. As i remember, las version of 1992 mod 1.8 and then was released an update 0.865 to get the historic grid performance.
Eventually they take down from their site the mod. What i didnt understand also.
Plus they dont participate much in discussions in this forum (at least im not aware about modding team names so i dont really know if they answer questions here or make announcements about updates in their mods)

I also wish ASR would do a full season at the levels of their latest releases which set the F1 benchmark for me in rFactor 2, AC and Automobilista.

I suspect it just takes a ton of time to make each car at that level of quality on three different platforms. And, unlike the F1 86 project, we don't see all the work and progress in public on this board.

In any event, check DrivingItalia.net from time to time as they often have announcements of the latest ASR release or updates.

What are those latest releases that set the F1 benchmark?
Thx

ASR's Instagram, where all the cars are posing hand on hip...

I don't want to be too much of a shill but go to the ASR website and check their work out.

All released and beta cars have the dates of the current version across all three platforms. The released cars are free and the betas are well worth the small contribution required to access. Give any one of them a spin. I tend to find myself in the Ferrari 643 the most often. While Prost called it a "truck" when he parted ways with Ferrari, I love driving it -- admittedly more often in AC than rF2 and always in VR these days.

All of them are, to me, state of the art mods and easily surpass the old full 1992 season release.

The only "negative" is that a full grid requires duplicate cars which takes away from the immersion factor for me. Maybe someone will come out with a skin pack for the rest of the grid for a couple of seasons while we wait for new releases from ASR but I have not seen one yet.

Their Lotus 1987 has an incredible ffb. Strong even in a g27. It shakes my entirely homemade cockpit without too much rattling
edit: but i cant say about the others since i tried very few cars

how is it possible that the new mp4/8 that you have released few days ago, will be free released monday by s397 ?

The ASR version is preety damn perfect. I wish S397 would´ve picked something like the mp4/1, 2 or 3. As the guys from ASR stated that they will release all Sennas cars, we need like the older stuff :)

we will compare monday :), and i hope someone can make skins

there is a big issue with rain, each time i follow a car and i'm in the rain spray particle, there is a always "strange reflection incrustation".... so i can't race by rain, it's with the 1991 F1, it's probably there by dry condition, but we can't see it.
