Mirror quality is determined by the mod, not user settings. The frame rate cut is more severe on this new car because it has very high-res mirrors. They look nice, but rF2 seems to have poorly optimized mirrors, hence why the default mirrors are so low res and ugly-looking.

By the way, this version of the car drives the nicest, after these tweaks, out of the past 3 ASR releases. Congratulations to the team on moving forward.

ps: How is the mechanical and aero grip balance? When there is a tire or all four off track, it is like a friction-less surface.

Actually I think you may be right about the mirrors. I recently switched to using rF2 AA levels instead of card-controlled. So to get the rest of the scene to render decently, I also have to have hi-res mirrors? These need to be detached and made into separate options if that is the case.

Yep. Latest -92 model feels awesome. Just right amount of oversteer, possible but difficult enough to catch and handle. Very fun to drive! FFB feels heavy and without rattling as in some other cars.

The mirrors in the Williams have compressed width, from testing in Sebring. The handling concerns are still there (duh, it's the same....). By the way, again, it looks stunning.

Is the 1992 update going to be with LE physics? We had a blast driving the ASR 92 1.865 with independent physics. The cars are awesome to drive, but it would be a shame to have them all drive the same. Anyway, great work guys.

I'm enjoying these cars a lot more. I'm happy you guys removed the Feeler stuff in the HDV, car feels a lot nicer to drive. Graphically still great, but the mirrors are really FPS heavy. I've got a 970 gtx so I'm not too bad off, but at Silverstone with 20 cars and mirrors on I lose about 40% of the frames compared to mirrors off. It's a huge difference. Any way its possible to have them not so heavy on the FPS?

Still good fun cars to drive

    Ferrari 641/2 v1.0 available!
Suzuka 1990 was a nightmare for all fans of Ferrari, but even more so for the Professor Alain Prost...

Can't wait to give this a try, thanks Ales. Loving the direction these cars are going with the handling/ physics and visuals. The FW14B & LC92 are excellent.

Is there any news on when the Lotus 99T will be released publicly? We need a turbo F1 car in rFactor 2.

Absolutely glorious. The visceral experience of driving this car has to be at the top of any rF2 experience. The FFB, the sounds, the visuals...it just doesn't get any better than this (so far)!!
