I just got some updates updating the TEST cars. I'll come back if I hear more....
Yup new sounds updated for the TEST rFPro and IRL18 cars to match the Oreca 07.

WARNING: THIS UPDATE RESET MY SOUND EFFECTS TO THE OLD DEFAULT OF 64, CHANGE THIS TO 256 IF YOUR SYSTEM CAN RUN WITHOUT SLOWDOWNS.

I ran with just one extra AI car and it happened to load a regular rFPro car. When you use the END key to jump from corner to corner you can pick a location far from the pits. I really began to notice a difference when I chose a location where the AI old car was just far enough ahead on track so that most of his sound had faded before my car(driving by the AI at this point) came into view and navigated past my 'spot.' You could just hear more sound stuff as the car approached, not vast echos but more subtle sounds that I could never identify but clearly understood they ADDED to the aural experience.

I'm not sure what point you're making, but I think most people actually understood only the one car was updated. It was repeated a number of times on the forum when someone appeared to be thinking otherwise.

To be fair, when an RC comes out with an entirely new sound system (after 10 years of wishes for improvements) and 3 "Test" cars appear in the list, it's probably a reasonable assumption to make. The first post did indicate otherwise however.
 
We seem to have the "Server is syncing realroad" permanently in the shoutbox. It started last week with our round at Laguna Seca and now at Circuit of the Americas.

Playing today I thought the following.
Maybe it's not something that should be prioritized, but I think that modernizing the way the components inside the cockpit work a bit would be great to make it look better especially in VR
In assetto corsa the gauges are in 3d and the lights are executed together with the command of the external lights, and they look very good in some mods

No they don't look very good, they look amazing! Is that really AC? What car is that?

I just saw rF2 got a RC update today, is there any patch notes on this update?

Discord isn't locked. I don't know why it's not here as well, but it isn't, and it's not the first time, and probably not the last. So maybe consider getting on Discord if you want that info.

Anyso... Watched awesome video by Aidan yesterday. It is going to be good stuff, guys. I was especially thrilled by the part showcasing external sounds. Absolutely different thing compared to what we had, major improvement.

I'm sorry you had a bad time on Discord. I don't always have a good time there either. It's useful though.
