What a fantastic update from 0.928 to 0.930. I reckon there's far more than 0.002 worth of improvements! Performance is vastly improved, cars look and sound fantastic, there's far fewer visual and physics anomalies, and the handling is much more challenging and enjoyable. These cars are all going to be getting a good workout on my system. Thanks so much for everyone's hard work.
I haven't tried it myself, but these tuning options are saved for the track. The Z4 has no heat fx, so there is no need to disable it. What you can try is to select the track, then select the SLS, disable heat fx in tuning menu and force it to the AI. rF2 should create an ini file for the track and save it in the settings folder for the SLS (UserData\player\Settings\AM_FIAGT3_2012_SLSAMG\SLSGT3_AMG_UPGRADES\trackconfigLAYOUTNAME.ini). Now select the car you want to drive and check if the heat fx is disabled.
Found this it's a similiar case (forget the parts about nvidia inspector and drivers ) http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...-exhaust-fires?p=316235&viewfull=1#post316235 I've reduced my value (for test purposes) to "Heat FX Fade Speed":15, (default it seems to be 30) heat effect is still noticeable and the sometimes odd look is strong reduced. If you change the value in the player.json don't forget about that someday a revert of the value could be usefull
I wish ISI would add an option to disable Heat FX completely (or fix it for 8xS AA). Then I could finally elimate the "bubble" from the ASR OWC Mod. Changing player.JSON didn't make a blind bit of difference to that mod.
Looks great, Tosch. But by seeing this ...... is rF2 capable of rendering stretched headlights reflections?
I'm still experimenting with this. The SLS has some faked stretched headlight reflections. They are very basic and primitive. The problem is that the reflection mapper can't handle "animated" objects like the switching between textures for head lights on/off. The road reflection is just an additional object that is not rendered (Render=false Reflection=True in gen file) and has no animated texture (light is always on). Maybe there is a way to use Some1's light glow shader in the reflection mapper but I had no success by now.
I do not like it. Drive only the Ferrari (also in real) and he has unfortunately completely changed his character! Far too much Oversteer! (with a little too much understeer in corner entry in ver. .928) With no feedback for the outgoing tail throue the FFB. Almost uncontrolable. No fun any more ... M. P.S. i also dont like dirty windscreens....
So if you drive ferrari gt3 in real life, you would be the perfect ferrari physics tester for further updates. Aren't you? [emoji6] Gesendet von meinem GT-I9301I mit Tapatalk
Another very important question, are you testing the cars with enough rubber on track? Are you running with cold tyres? Like Yoss informed, the tyres needs at least 5-6 laps.
