Here's the news update we promised earlier:

Our Apex GT3 mod, which`covers cars from 2006 through 2013, is at build v.960. We are going to focus on getting the mod fully integrated with the latest publicly available rFactor2 tech in order to release v1.0 this Summer if possibl (and it will be free).

The mod will contain the cars currently available with the Bentley Continental as a standalone (still free), as a bonus car since it doesn't exactly belong in that grid. The Bentley will be matched with our next GT mod, focusing on the 2016-2018 period with cars seen in some of our previews. We want try to get that done by the end of the year. Because of exponentially increasing levels of work required to properly create content, we'll have to focus on some paid content and the future GT mod will be the first.

Your support will be fundamental to us. We have a very rich internal roadmap and really wish to get through it, with some stunning cars in our pipeline. That said, well... We suppose it won't hurt to give you some more scoops! We fully intend to support our Endurance 1999 mod and have a build completed by the Le Mans 24 hours race in 2019! Our grid of cars keeps growing so it is a lot to get through, but we'll push very hard to accomplish that!

That is it for now, phew. We still have our beloved 1970 WSC cars in the backburner and fully intend on completing them in 2019 as well. [IMG]

Testing rain shader implementation for the remaining GT3 cars - we're nearly done, have some final tweaks and fixes as you can see. Then we will proceed to the final B.O.P. tweaks, and then implement new default setups to reach v1.00 status this summer 33849144_1594811577284834_3499700637392699392_o.jpg 33745583_1594811527284839_6493027722963451904_o.jpg 33763566_1594811493951509_3335230577098883072_o.jpg 33784893_1594811507284841_1835912491121508352_o.jpg

I don't mean to sound rude, but will the Force Feedback be improved? I like the mod but the FFB is fairly awful if I am honest. The Ferrari (as an example) feels very lifeless and (i can't speak for everyone) it ruins my immersion.

all the drivers on the 24 h bathurst this week end don't complain about ffb , strange that you can have this feeling .
you can tweak him in control , ffb smooth or strengt
what did you have as stwheel ?
yes we know , we work on this way too

    @yoss
I really appreciate your work and have fun driving the cars. I don't know if anyone said that, but cars have less grip than i.e. Simtek GT3 World Series or Enduracers GTE. They seem to slide more and resemble ISI Camaro GT3(wich oversteers even more) and C6R GT2 handling. I don't know which one is more realistic but I'm guessing C6R GT2 or cars from GT3 Pack DLC have good physics.
Will you get latest tires from S397? What are other physics upgrades planned?

sorry i miss this post and answer.
for the moment we are busy with rain update ,
The actual physics surely remain like they are ,we have good wear and consistancy on long stint .
the first test i made myself with the new cpm update produce mixed result , not enought good for be definitively implemented .
that s remember me when we change from cpm1.0 to cpm 2.0 , need to change a lot of little thing for have a good result .
so for the moment , step is rain update and p1gaming b.o.p

Thanks for the info. So you don't know if CPM 2 tires will be implemented on next release? I was afraid it's not so easy to just swap tires (even if they are provided by S397), but i.e. GP3 modder (Slow Motion) said he didn't adjust physics for new tires:

"... understeer that is now less than before, especially at high speeds, due to the new tires that not only are based on the new CPM, but are developed on updated real data of Pirelli... Sincerely I'm not able to say how much is the new CPM, how much the new data, but I'm feeling that the GP3 is very very sensible to any minimum change, that what I'm able to feel driving the 2017 vs. the 2018 (where change only tires) I'm not able to feel with other mods.
For this reason (= the unbelievable sensibility of the mod to any minimum change), I didn't edit any other value in the 2018 car."

BTW: recently saw that few years ago Ferrari and BMW Z4 physics where made entirely by Michael Borda and Camaro was tweaked by him. It seems true because the cars handle similar to official S397 cars(like Camaro GT3 that slides a lot) with default setup. They are much different that Simtek or Enduracer's GTE which are more grippy, less oversteer while braking ( probably because of brake bias) and generally much easier to handle.

MB help us a lot on tweaking physics on WHOLE mod , not only fefe and z4. and he help us to create some tgm from spreadsheet and tools who don't exist nowhere before and was not from official content .We can now generate tgm from scratch , like we surely do for our lm99 mod who request very special tyres size.
We past some months with p1gaming for tweak the b.o.p and we never add feature without test now .
so new cpm can be added , later after test ,lap time , wear , pace and consistancy and surely some tweaks , not sure it s in this gt3 mod or the next new one .

OK Thanks. If Michael Borda helped a lot with physics then I'm sure the result is pretty good(meaning realistic). As I said it makes sense because handling resemble official GT cars (at least with default setup), rather than other third party mods like Simtek GT3 or Enduracer's GTEs which are easier to handle.
I've read in the past some opinion that Mercedes SLS handling was "broken", but in last release I see physics where updated. Can you elaborate pls?

we usually don't look what others do .We follow our own way and try to made everything from our own
Say about one car that she have Broken physics can also mean "i"m not able to drive her ".Documented feedback is always welcome and last z4 /sls physics update was about pace and handling , because we receive from p1gaming testers documented feedback : motec log where we see tyres wear ,bad lap time etc etc ...
for now we are on the rain update and making on the lm99
we are here if some wanna talk or share pizza

have fun with the actual gt3 mod
