Very cool Yoss. Will be released soon?
Maybe Saint Nicholas will be coming around in a high-powered tin-top this year .
A little unrealistic, Mercedes can fly in lemans
First car released : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1942303556
Downloading to take a test flight, oops, drive
It will finally be able to do his 24h!
Just tried the mercedes.
The sound is biased to the right. I find it annoying, as I use headphones. Hope you can correct this to this car before releasing the rest of the pack.
Rfactor 2 has recently been bought out by the Rupert Murdoch family, and from now on ALL cars will be bias to the right. That includes sound and steering geometry.
The sound is biased to the right but is not costant, is not always, it's like there is one sample or two with the issue, it happens both on power and on coasting.
Also, i have massive vibrations in my TSPC mostly at low speed, it's something i've already seen in some mods, it may be tires related.
The FFB is very strong and low detalied, even at low multiplier values.
Other issue, in the setup the min tires pressure usable is 0kpa
The sound issue might be related to reverb or any other sound effect, it's very present in the first part of Le Mans for example (the official one), from start/finish line to Tetre Rouge, so you can now reproduce it.
I think this car is absolutely outstanding. The feedback is perfect too - just set the multiplier to 50% as it is set too high as standard - this is why you're getting vibrations probably.
Edit: i normally run smoothing on 2. But turned it to 0 and I can sort of see what you're saying with the grain in the ffb. However it's somthing I feel in loads of cars - particulaly the s397 Tatuus, Radical Sr3. I think there is some sort of dithering issue with RF2 FFB output (which is why I run smoothing at 2). It is known that a cpu thread maxing out can cause this, but I notice it even when my PC seems to be running comfortably within its limits.
I agree with you first sentece. I really want to see this mod shining, it's just the best car-set i've ever seen! And i just did some laps at Le Mans and i had great fun.
Though yes i'm also using the multi at 50% atm but i never had to go so low since i own this wheel, +1 year, and also i never had the needs to use smothing higher than 0, i don't mind a raw ffb (it's the kind of ffb i like most) but i think there is a issue here, something i've already seen in other mods as i said (the Datsun for example).
Even with these issues i prefer this car over the Oreca LMP2.
I tried the car at Le Mans. It was where I noticed the sound issue. I'll try the car later on other tracks to see if it is actually related to sound reverb.
I tried it first at Adria (yeah definitely not the best combo lol) and it was pretty noticeable, i'm also going to try other tracks.
Thanks everyone for the feedback
Had a blast at Le Mans. This car feels and sounds great. One of the best mods, imho.
Had to lower the ffb a bit on my simucube but all fine
One of the best cars I've driven so far. The sound sometimes does something strange, especially in the mulsanne straitgh.
It was worth every day of waiting. Just great.
Boah, i LIKE! Very, very nice to drive. BIG FUN and also nice work with the cockpit
Minus: Sound, mirrors
FFB is fine with Multi 0.75 and smoothing 4, default is to strong
THX for your work and merry christmas
Epic car, had lots of fun. Thank you. But I think it could get improved a bit.
I did 3'34 in S397 Le Mans in my first lap with softs, then improved it by 2s with hards, also in first lap. Thats too fast. Car felt great with 45percent of FFB, softest springs, and much softer front roll bar. Minimum wings. Less toe. And....and..... tires with 0 kpa...
I didn't notice nor grip, nor wear difference between soft and hard tire.
Even with minimum wings setting car feels if it almost would have more than enough downforce to take any turn flat out. And I doubt if you have certain front ride height aerod sensitivity to this car, but I haven't tried to raise the front ride height.
With medium engine cooling setting I got engine overheating after warm up lap. With high cooling I didn't notice any top speed penalty.
Hands goes a bit through steering wheel
Wheels specularity is very overdone
Backlights also seems to have overdone specularity
Headlights looks like if their cover screen would be tinted black.
I think car body is a bit too blue.
