what was the top speed (more or less).
I'm starting to test the setup
@MiguelVallejo Don't remember exactly. I think it was 325-326 maybe. At least thats what I had by the time I had to brake into first chicane of the straight.
How is 3.32 too fast? The new track is faster than the old one, for sure.
326 sounds very race-trimmy... All sounds fine to me...
I think we'd find the touching of 350 would only be in full attack mode in qualy trim and possibly in a draft. And then they'd do sub 3.30 on the modern layout - because they basically did that already on the old layout, which undeniably is more restricted than the current layout.
Could be much, much further from the post I'd say

Merry Christmas to all !!
Awesome, thanks for update, looking forward to get a go.
Well to me this looks way faster layout:
Of course there are few turns that seems like you will inevitably be slightly slower, but the first sector with faster chicane and then all the way straight into the esses must definitely make this layout faster.
As for top speed, I am interested in this. Would LeMans top speeds be declared with or without slip streaming. I supposed that car would reach it in full mulsanne straight, could try it in Le Grand Circuit.
Tracks are similar, I don't think the 'new' flowing S's after Dunlop, are much faster nor slower than the old 'straight' down into a tighter corner than the flowing S's. Some of the corners have opened up though. Tetre Rouge has been opened up, same with Indianapolis... All in all I think the lap time would be very similar on both 'layouts' in the same cars.
Depending on trim, the CLR was capable of doing 3:31.5. - which is still 1½ sec slower than what the TS020 GTP was snatching Pole Position with. There are so many factors, it's not even funny.
I still to this day, can't get my head around HOW there were SIX seconds difference between banzai qualy laps and fastests race laps set.
I believe that was a time where they did have bespoke qualifying engines that they were allowed to change before the race itself. Same with qualifying tires. That should allow the 6 seconds. The last option would be that those cars are fairly fragile in those days. It wasn't till the early 2000s where they could go flat out for 24 hours. So they may have been giving 90% of the car's capability just to make it to the end of the race.
Can you find some confirmation on that?
Oh Dios mío, a punto de volver a pasar!!!
It could have been much worse.

Nice Sunday to everyone
Thanks Yoss! Just subscribed in the workshop.
Very nice! Thx! First the good things: sounds and overall feeling are great! And the cockpit looks so good!
tires: mediums are totally fine, with softs it turns in like hell, i am always off track. feels weird.
me dumb or bug ?
FFB maybe a little bit to strong
FFB is individual to be honest. Turn down the Car Specific FFB Multiplier in your settings screen on-track.
One default level of FFB is good for X-wheel, you might sit behind a Y-wheel.
Separate names with a comma.
