[WIP] Apex Modding - 1970 Sportscar Championship

Our car have this problem too?
I referenced that issue as something that is happening with some cars, not specifically yours (I haven't driven the 917K for a while, so this was just a bit more info to test thoroughly and avoid having to make additional changes after the fix).

i m sure the original is very good too
Hey yoss, I know you propably have your hands full with all the different cars that you are working on. But I just wanted to ask if you have taken a look at the undertray shadow of the Ferrari. It's a fantastic looking, sounding and handling car, but the car looks still as if it is floating as the undertray shadow seems to be too weak or missing compared to the 917K. The Porsche is closer to the ground obviously, but I think it would would make the Ferrari just perfect. Anyway, thank you for all your work.

@yoss Sorry for the very late reply. Kind of missed this one. I just took a screenshot that highlights the issue. If you compare the Ferrari with the Porsche, the shadow under the car seems to be missing completely wich makes the car look like it is floating. In the showroom it seems to look ok, but on track it's missing. Maybe the undertray shadow is placed too low or something like that. I am not exactly sure how it works but aren't you placing a plane under the car? Maybe that needs to be raised a littlebit. Here is the screenshot:

As you can see the shadow under the Porsche in the background, I don't think that this is a LOD issue. But might be worth to check this aswell to rule out all possible causes for the problem.

I believe that this image is not the best example, due to the sun being so low, although the left front tyre is, indeed not showing a shadow as it should.
However, I have noticed this as well, but it is even more visible/noticeable in situations where there is a lot of reflections - wet track - as if the reflections themselves were overlapping shadows.
There could be 2 separate issues: how shadows are cast over SSR reflections (pretty sure that rF2 now does this wrong) and how some cars are casting shadows.
