Anyone else concerned about MSG’s future?

I think there is a bit of an ambivalence of what was explained by Renato and written in the Twitter comment posted above. There was no word about Indycar reaching out to Reiza to create the Indycar game. Lisencing the IP of Indycar could simply mean that they are able to do what S397 has done and bring the current car and a few tracks, like IMS. Or simply offering the Formula NA stuff under their respective names like C.A.R.T. And quite frankly, I don't see Reiza being able to offer a full blown Indycar game after testing the latest update. If you have to disable AI colission to make oval racing atleast somwhat possible, then this just tells you that there is still enough to do for AMS2 itself.

This exactly.

Thing im mostly afraid is that rf2 is left in broken state if something (backrupsy) happens..
And i dont mean minor bugs.
I mean bugs like:
-The jerky/twitchy weather update in online sessions.
-Client crashing bug that got much worse recently.
-The left eye flicker on some cars in VR.

But also things like the milky windscreen bug on caterham and the like smaller issues.

These would make rf2 not survive even as novelty sim after possible bankrupsy.
I believe as long as the main issues are fixed, rf2 would live on among users no matter what happens to the studio behind it.
Hope it doesnt come to that, but im worried, not gonna lie..
 
Rumor has it the entire board has resigned, they are facing a debt of 30 million $ and have till the end of the year or face bankruptcy. RIP

Didn't Motorsport Games postpone a payment to Studio 397 as well? So they haven't actually paid for the complete takeover yet? That might be a saving grace?
 
Motorsport Network, owner of MSG, is super shady, and thus so is MSG. Seems like bad business strategy right now more than anything. We'll see how it pans out. I hope S397 can get out from under MSG and find a better situation.
 
Sometime a company can decide to get delisted intentionally, for different reasons: this can have its cons, but also some pros for them, depending on the situation and of their future plans.
We don't know if the resignation of the board members was unexpected or instead secretly planned. For sure they won't come here and tell us what are their plans for the future.

Well considering the amazing progress made this past year is probably due completely to the Millions S397 recieved from MSG, it may be difficult to find a 'better solution.'

What else can you do? S397 probably won't say anything on this reguard, so people can only make assumptions and conjectures, based on what they read on internet. :)
According to the comments to the RaceDepartment article about this argument, S397 is ready to be sold, for peanuts. :rolleyes:

It would NOT make sense for Studio 397 to say anything about this. It even does little sense to be talking here about it. It's bussiness and finances totally unrelated to simracing.

This wouldn't probably be such big news if iRacing fans weren't so eager to get their hands on those MSG licenses.
