Any chance rF2 might have a real-time sector analyzer?

Depending on the category, there's usually tyre wear indicators in the form of small stalks or very small orifices to measure how much tread is left.

i hope not, its addictive, you drive looking at the green (or red.. ) bar instead of the track.

Or we could just have ghost cars?

It isn't realistic that my wife can bring me a sandwich while I'm racing and I can press P to pause, either. ;)

It does look just like a graphical representation of a ghost car, which rF2 will have. I guess it might be possible to give some UI options for it. Again, if totally wanted you'll have to speak up and say so as much as possible. But the realism argument isn't too valid as we're wanting a scalable piece of software (that's why there are aids).

IMO, rF2 should pause automatically upon detecting a wife with a sandwitch.

Wait, so rF2 will have ghost cars? That's awesome! So far I've had to use the rfVCRmerge tool to overlay laps and see where I could improve. That was cool too though :p

A delta lap time is an awesome tool to understand if you drive correctly.

Every time you miss a line/apex, you can immediately understand it.

this would be very handy for f1 racing. in real f1, you see it on their steering wheels, real-time +- to their best lap.
would be very useful as i race in fsr.

You dug up a 3 year old thread to tell, who, the people in it, that there is now such a tool? You don't think we already know? We could revive thousands of threads in a similar way but it's pointless. Sometimes it seems the 'old thread' warning needs to be an actual block...

seeing as he the guy who brought us the tool - I'd be tempted to cut the guy a bit of slack - he can dig up as many old threads as he likes as far as I'm concerned - he has earnt the keys to the forum

My point was that maybe not everyone knew about it and to leave a pointer for future readers, but I see your argument.

It was early, his name seemed familiar, I may have thought he was one of the usual pests doing something silly

I still don't think there was a need, but I apologise for my manner.

Yes DELTA can be inaccurate but it is still great tool. Some point your driver lines are "perfect" and distance traveled is about same and there is where delta can come handy and accurate. Brake earlier? later? just test it and see feedback in real time!. Delta timing is old thing used in karting loong time...
