Hello folks! So, first announcement is here - a GT3 Update! New tyres, bop, tech and other goodies - read on for more: https://www.studio-397.com/2023/01/announcing-gt3-update-new-tyres-and-bop/
Tires! Sounds! BOP! Welcome to the future GT3s! I will note, however, the ABSENCE of any mention of interior updates for the older cars in the GT3 fleet.
Haven't driven any GT3's for ages whilst waiting for this update. Great stuff! With regard to the comment about the M4 now being firmly aligned with the rest of the GT3 field, was this car deemed to be faster or slower than the rest?
This is by far the most important update for rF2 in my opinion. If S397 did it right (i think of course yes!) the rest of the SimRacing world has a hughe problem.
Again for all S397 staff : I've been delighted with the progress of rFactor 2 over the last 2+ years, which I think means you've done a fantastic job, thank you so much. Congratulations to @Paul Jeffrey who knew how to give a certain dynamism to S397's communication. Concerning the update of the 14 GT3, I am really delighted. A small disappointment however : The latest graphics "technologies" have apparently not been incorporated for the cockpits. Should we expect an update of this nature in the next few months ? Thanks guys, great job.
I quickly rushed to read the update whether dashes/fonts are going to be finally updated. Is it going to happen... ever? (Oreca as well)
Is gear protection going to be based on throttle position or revs? Some of us may not run a linear throttle setting. Like the idea, but have struggled with the 992 on certain tracks. ?
Hopefully this will have fixed up the Mercedes, whoch was always wildly different (worse) compared to the other GT3s. Also, I also question why there is never any mention of the AI related to these reworked cars. We know the new tire "dynamics" don't apply to the AI cars, since they use a completely different model, but we need to be assured the AI tires and performance match that of the driver cars. In several recent releases, this is not the case. This especially relates to things like tire warmup (AI have 100% speed almost immediately, takes 2-3 laps for driver cars to get pace), and especially behavior over kerbs.
LOL GT3, aren't these historic cars already ? Can't wait to drive these at Monza or Spa in Summer at 14pm with clear weather and all damage off!
LA MISE A JOUR est super pour la catégorie phare des simracers mais il faut penser au wec et au virtuel 2024 avec les nouvelles voitures
Very doubtful! The S397 is terrible at working with graphics updates. Look at the pilot's "avatar", he's been there for 11 years, with a hole between his legs.
