Hi, i'm having a championship this week, i just updated the game and server, and with version 118 all alt skin that use to works with previous build are now completely ignored by the games, i can't see them in the selector. Has something change on it?
Custom skins working fine here .... I did the auto update and all mods with our skins are ok ,all the skins carried over ..

Same thing here for the moment. After a fresh install, I've copied / pasted car skin folders (Renault_Clio, Formula_2, etc.) in my \Players\Settings dir but none of the liveries appear in showroom, even their name, nothing Anybody knows if something have changed ? Thank you
in 118 changelog i try this: Now checking livery availability on vehicle change to make sure it's valid....clearing out the playerfile value if it is not found.
Custom skins (we're talking about custom skins from your settings folder, not seperate mods for leagues with custom skins within the mod file) do not work in build 118 because the method for custom skin implementation is currently being worked on. There will be another (better and easier) method to implement custom skins in one of the upcoming builds. Original post
So it means i waste my time on working on those skins for the championship.... fine. I guess i have to go for the special mod with the custom skin within the mod , Is there a link to explain that?
Would have been very nice to let us keep the old method until the new was in place though Oh well, hope that gets sorted out soon, racing league starts wednesday, without skins it seems.
Nice, would you explain how you did this? because i've try to open some mas fr3.5 / megane and clio but i did not find anything usefull yet ^^
I cant help sorry ..;-( i dident put the mod togeather but if the creator see's this im sure he will reply with explanation .. Im not smart enough to pull that off .. If i see him today i will direct him to this thread !!
i too would be very interested, or rather our League admin who makes the mod. (though us two skinmakers would sure love to see our work in action)
I do know that he added more cars to the original mod and had our skins on them so we have 2x the number of cars now in the new mod, our skinned ones and the original ones , so i assume he copyed the vhicle files then added the paints and built the mod .. Ive sent him a msg but i think hes gone for the weekend .. perhaps in the downloads thread doc's thers info ??
ok I got a Mesg from the creator :~IsR~Barabba The system of custom skins does not work anymore. To see the skin you need to create a real mod, with the file dds on cars, icons, and also a file, reading Veh. Then you should put everything in an archive forTEAMS.MAS Add the MAS original CAR.MAS and MAIN.MAS Then create the component with these three files. Then create a Vmod with the component you have created, and all the material tracks etc. It takes a lot of time to do this.
Please note that rFactor2 is currently in development, any feature can change and/or stop working at any time. Using it in an official capacity, such as in a league, is your decision.
