as per the thread on the main forum the plr option is there but not working and it's a pain to continuously do it every time you go on track, would be good to have this as an in game option personally as it makes such a huge difference, if not there then next the hdr and fxaa option in the config screen.
+1 A link to the original thread where Alt-M is discussed in detail: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/18712-IS-NVIDIA-Image-Quality-A-Joke-Or-Is-It-Just-Me
+1 on this, definitely needed! Without any accusations or pointing fingers at you guys (you are doing an amazing job with those tracks!), the official ISI Silverstone track has that problem as well, apparently there are some negative LODs as well for some materials. See here. (It's an animated PNG, not all browsers will be able to show it, FireFox works for example) First frame of the animation: 4xMSAA + 4xSGSSAA: 4xMSAA + 4xSGSSAA + Alt+M:
In an ideal world I would say this is the way to go, but rF2 is a modding platform and helpful tools like ALT-M, hdr profiles and the general ability to adjust some settings like clip planes, reflection intensity, gamma, etc. are always welcome. The more the better.
If you're going to analyse every single word, then analyse this: no . I can already think of several ways to twist this one single word !
English is not my native tongue, and sometimes, reading mysterious and ambiguous answer, I feel like Ryan Stone listening to the Inuit. Don't know if I need to laugh and be happy, or cry, so....I gonna bark
Are you actually contemplating twisting 'no'? because that would mean yes. obviously. So there we have it, scientific proof. But fwiw, I support this quest. if only because I keep forgetting to press Alt+M most of the time
+1 via UI and/or .PLR file. These excessive jaggies have plagued us since rF1. Now there is a no-performance-hit way to get rid of most of them!?!?!?!?!?!?? Everyone should be rejoicing because we've all been using supersampling or other resource-heavy techniques to solve this problem that isn't in other titles. Now we know we should be able to have good looking graphics and great performance relative to the competing titles. Get on with it, please.
