AI-based Virtual Race Engineer incl. Pitstop Handling

Release 6.8.0

This release includes several important fixes, one of which fixes a criticial bug for ACC.

The SimHub plugin, which had been a community project maintained bo Jordan Moss in the past, has been rewritten by the development team and is now bundled with Simulator Controller. This plugin allows you to use all the data about strategy, pitstop management, but also handling instructions by the Coach in your dashboards and overlays.

A new audio route let you specify audio device and volume of all speeches and other audio output generated by scripts and automations.

Lastly, several dozen car models for Automobilsta 2 have been added by @inthebagbud UK to the "Setup Workbench" again and this release contains useful extensions to the "Session Database", that improve sharing items with the community.

Release 6.8.1

This one contains once again many new AMS2 car models for the "Setup Workbench" by @inthebagbud UK. It also comes with an updated version of the SimHub plugin which fixes a couple errors.

"Solo Center" saw several improvements for car and track name handling. Lastly and beside some other small additions and fixes, the session database has been cleaned up for Le Mans Ultimate.

Release 6.8.2

Beside a fix for a crititical bug that caused the ACC integration to stop working, we introduce full support for sector times for the honourable Assetto Corsa this time. The timing is not 100% exact, cause the data is not provided by the game API. Rather it is sampled with a 20 Hz resolution which should be good enough for the Spotter to tell you which will be the sector to attack your opponent, for example. Additionally, the lap reports in "Solo Center" and the "Team Center" has been extended with corresponding sector time information.

Release 6.8.3

Using the data sampling method implemented with the last release for the sector times in Assetto Corsa, we introduce now correct lap times and sector times to Project Motor Racing.

Additionally, a massive change in the startup sequence of the Assistants will now activate the AI kernel even in lap 0. This will allow for an earlier reaction to incidents or weather conditions, for example.

And thanks to @inthebagbud UK we have support for almost 100 new Automobilista 2 cars for the "Setup Workbench".

Many small improvements this week.

1. The cooldown phase for the Assistants is more intelligent now. Restart is triggered immediately, once all post session processing is finished.

2. API access for LMU is deferred until LMU is fully up n running.

3. A lot of new stuff for scripts and rules.

Release 6.8.5 and 6.8.6 (02/06/26)

The release of this week and that of last week include many important fixes, for example for the Spotter, who no longer reports slower cars as being faster in average after a pitstop. Beside that, the calculation of gap times and standings has seen a major overhaul, after we realized that the LMU API reports cars which are in the entry list, but which are not connected to the session.

With this release, we're bringing the long-awaited native support for Polish in voice interaction with the Assistants. Thanks to @Przem Lis DTM, all grammars have been translated, and the command reference documentation is also available in Polish. A translation of the user interface is still on our wish list for a future release.

As always, there are also minor other improvements. Details can be found in the Release Notes.

Relase 6.8.8

This time we have significants improvement for the strategy subsystem. Concrete tyre wear data of recent sessions can be used during strategy development to predict stint length, especially for races with a restricted number of tyres. There will be an online session, where I demonstrate the new functionalities on the upcoming Monday evening in our Discord.

Beside that it has become more intuitiv to prepare a race using "Race Settings" for all of you who are not using the more complex settings system in "Session Database".

Release 6.9.0

With this release, we start the implementation for the EA F1 series. Still pretty much a construction site yet and it is required to run Simulator Controller on a separate PC due to the Javelin AntiCheat software, but the next releases will bring more and more functionality to the table.

Beside that, all new cars and track updates of the latest Le Mans Ultimate release as well as several important fixes are included.

Release 6.9.1

The implementation of F1 25 is done, documentation has been added and all tests have passed. However, Javelin is still complaining, so you have to run Simulator Controller on a second machine or in a virtual machine. The following video gives you a brief overview, how to set up a virtual machine to run Simulator Controller on the same machine as F1 25:


As side-effect of the F1 25 implementation, Simulator Controller can now connect to all games on a remote machine incl. consoles which support a UDP-type API. Beside that, we have new and updated car data for Automobilista 2 and many important bug fixes.
