rF2 allows groups of 5 reactivations. When you have used your 5th activation, you need an activation reset, giving you five more activations. No limit in the amount of resets. You can backup your rFactor2 credentials folder and put it back in place after reinstalling your OS. The folder is located in the appdata directory inside your Windows user profile (appdata is a hidden folder). An easy way to access the folder is to press "win-key + r" and enter "%appdata%". You should find a folder named ".rFactor". Make a copy and put back to the same location on the fresh OS.
