Hi guys, since i've been looking to upgrade my ASUS VG248QE 144Hz, don't definitely want to go for triples and the market of the UltraWide Monitors is growing i want to know if i should go for these two options.

Main problem is to know if my GPU (EVGA GTX 980 SC 4GB) will handle max settings on rF2 with those two resolutions and how fast it is regarding input lag and average frames per second (FPS)...

    The two options are:

    - Acer Predator X34 - 4ms - 3440x1440 75Hz (100Hz Overclockable by the monitor) - Cost around 1100€
    - Acer Predator Z35 - 4ms - 2560x1080 144Hz (200Hz Overclockable by the monitor) - Cost around 1000€

    Thanks!

They cover input lag there, so if you didn't read it yet, I think you definatelly should :)

Just read it, they make good reviews, but i would like to know other things too, like using MAX settings at 3440x1440 with a GTX 980, personal experiences you know...

    Cheers!

I bought an X34 earlier this year. Running with a 4770K and a 980ti at everything on full is a breeze 60hz. Some car and track combos struggle at 100hz, but that's with 40+ car fields.
Don't forget, if you get the X34 you can always drop the resolution if you need to. Whilst you can use DSR to up the res on the Z35, I'm lead to believe it doesn't look that great.

Hey Rui.....not the exact monitor you are asking about , but I do use the Freesync version of it here ( Acer XR341CK ). I use an Sapphire R9 Fury , and combined with this monitor.....it's awesome to say the least! The 980ti on the Gsync version should work very well I would think. I have most everything turned up pretty high in detail and the only issue I have seen is a lower frame rate when coming out of the pits. As soon as I'm clear of the pits , she stays at a steady 75fps ( which is what this monitor does ). I could OC the monitor to get the 100fps , but honestly I can't tell the difference. As far as what you see in front of you ( or in this case , what I see ) Freakin' incredible for a single monitor setup! Best monitor investment I ever made was when I picked this up last year!

Thanks guys, but i'm wondering about performance on a single GTX 980 (not Ti). I thought it would handle rF2 around 90FPS all maxed out @3440x1440...

It is easy to extrapolate: "Some car and track combos struggle at 100hz, but that's with 40+ car fields." means you'll struggle more often with a non-Ti. Most of the time it will likely be fine. You can also simulate the performance hit by using DSR.

Can you help me on how can i do the test to simulate the performance hit by using DSR? It will convert that resolution (3440x1440) to my actual size of 1920x1080 right? Thanks!

Can you post some sample rf2 video shots? It is my target monitor but I currently use three 29" 21:9 monitors. I'm afraid it will be downgraded in term of immersion. And it is impractical for me to have three such monitors (Money, space and display card).
