Good morning, everyone.
Being curious by nature, yesterday I tested the MAS.EXE tool with an RFCMP file, to see what was inside.
For this test, I took the liberty of using those of the VLN 2018 GT3 Liveries Pack available on RACEDEPARTMENT.
Via the game interface, I installed this RFCMP file for each car.
Then I exit the game and went to: rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\AstonMartin_Vantage_GT3_2019
There is a folder named VLN 1.0. I then opened the.MAS file with the MAS.EXE tool.
Then in the list that appeared, I have everything selected, to extract everything into a folder on the desktop.
We understand what it takes to have a result in the interface at the same level as official content.
So I test myself to do the operation in the opposite direction and succeed in creating a PACKAGE LIKE A PRO
For the MAS file no problem to create it, but once done, what are the steps to create the MFT file and then the final RFCMP file?
In advance thanks for your help.
12 hours later:
Thanks @Corti for the link: https://docs.studio-397.com/users-guide/custom-liveries-how-to-make-an-update-rfcmp-for-league-use
Following it everything works perfectly. The new paint livery is available in the list with the nice image icon on the right side.
It could help, here are my test files: BENTLEY PHIL TEST
So now my question is . do we have to do anything after any future car update (v2.53 for the bentley at the moment), or the skin will work no matter the future car version ?
