Hope you enjoyed the enginesounds i loaned to chief for what i had on mine. i think they fit pretty well but i think i will adjust the engine sounds a bit still. But atleast now they are way closer than they were before.
We are racing these next week, come along if you are interested. Last race was full on. Although I managed to blow up my Ligier after a few laps - probably an over rev on the h pattern downshifts.
It was really nice to watch the race, different strategies, nice battles, congratulations! @Redvaliant why did your engine blow up?
I had no time to practice before the race, so just jumped in and went with a setup that the organiser shared. My car was a bit slow on the run to Tosa and I was leaving it all to the brakes and a jump shift from 5th to 2nd each time. I also started to use the boost on the straights, I think that + an overrev on H-pattern downshifts may have caused the engine to blow . I'll do some practice this time and keep and eye on the engine temp.
We did another race with these cars yesterday, in changing conditions at Hockenheim. However @ChiefWiggum I decided to make an intro to the stream, hopefully it made the cars and the era some justice! EDIT: At 53 sec is where Redvaliant realized his engine had gone kaboom!
nice video, and the race was also very entertaining, I'm wondering why Redvaliant had a engine blow up again, did he shift under full throttle?
He might've run out of fuel. Honestly not 100% sure! I had enough with keeping it on track myself! Due to G27 shifter issues, I was also stuck with only 3rd and 4th for the race, but due to the rain, that wasn't really a big problem luckily. I was pretty safe in terms of avoiding wheelspin out of slow corners, and a longer 4th gear worked with extra downforce
I had a schedule conflict and I had to leave the race early, no engine problem this time. Car was actually very drivable on slicks in the rain, you just had to be vary careful on corner entry on the brakes and then corner exit on throttle.
