I just found this on youtube (i know I am a bit slow ) 1971 Italian GP Besides showing just how bad modern f1 is it is amazing the close racing, of course at the finish but for the first 10 laps or so 14 cars nose to tail with the lead changing 2 or 3 times a lap sometimes. The poor cameras even adds to the atmosphere....Inspired i took chiefs early 70's cars for a spin around 1966 Monza and could not wipe the smile off my face.... Chief this will be a great great mod when complete thank you for your efforts
Well there is a pretty awesome rF1 version that just needs converting Personally I really like this 70's F1 concept. I would love to see this concept done except for CAN-AM cars. That is something that everyone loves, but has only been done fully for GPL. But being able to mix and match body work would be really cool. Wings, no wings, turbo, no turbo. Example from 1970. Lots of variety from '66-'87
Yep Chris, rF1 has a 73' USAC mod, and Dave Sabre gave his permission to convert it to rF2 awhile back I believe, a 72' USAC Indy car mod would be interesting, the Mark Donahue # 66 72' Indy winning Penske and the Parnelli Jones Andretti/Unser cars were unique.
Big Thanks to Mauro for creating the Car Icons, and also to svictor, he helped me with the Upgrade File, thank you Guys
Chief great update this is one of the best/interesting/innovative mods for RF2... I promise this will be my last request any chance of getting some small curved side pods like on the 71 BRM there are a few cars that have similar and would add a nice new lego piece to your masterpiece ;-)
Chief the possibilities with this mod are endless just starting to scratch the surface...thanks so much for your hard work....
it should be easy to create new Paint Job, I must sort out the template, there are many Wings, Sidepods and Airboxes now, but when you use a finished Model it should be very easy to create new Skins
Finally i got some time to try this great mod... One thing i didn't like... you don't need to blip the throttle when shifting down, at least in the 4 or 5 cars i've tried
does anyone more know about Alex Blignaut? When I look for the Lucky Strike Tyrrell 002 from 1971 I see only the Logo Alex Blignault. When I search for Alex Blignault I can only find Alex Blignaut, is this not the same Person? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Blignaut
