Yes !, amazing Chief, 70's Indy cars like this McLaren, Foyts 73' Coyote, the Parnelli VPJ's, now need a period correct version of Indy, rF2's been needing vintage Indy, with cars to go with it.

Don't forget the Gurney Eagles or, the turbine cars. In these days of spec series, those memories are grand. Cosworth V8 vs Offenhauser tractor motor.

Exactly Dave, this is back in the day when the cars were very different and interesting

If there is going to be a 70s Indycar, I would have to think that making it a separate mod would be the way to go. Because as mentioned, there isn't a lot of upgrade spots available.

My personal opinion would be to see if permission would be granted to convert the ISO 1974 and 1978 AMS mods. They are the same team the did the 1988 and 1987 CART mods for AMS. All of their mods are full season, full livery from race to race mods. If 70s Indycar Style mod would happen, both of the mods could be used as reference for the parts.

For those interested in the 70 and 72 season packs I am not feeling great atm but my mud map plan for when I feel better is
1 get my old brain around chiefs new parts
2 replace my cars with chiefs new cars eg Tyrrell etc and maybe release this pack as a beta for 70 then 72 working with v1.05
3. Create better cars where parts now exist eg March and repaint if required
4 release a new working pack for 70 and 72 seasons
5 if I remain motivated might tackle f1 71 season
I am unsure how long steps 1 to 4 will take will depend on real life distractions which I do have a few…
I would at sometime like to try a Indy car season maybe 72 or 73 but I may leave that to chis the resident expert ;-)
