ok, i think this modification is dead, i haven't seen one new created car, that makes me believe that this idea will not work, so i will stop working on the 70's style mod, I thought it was a good Idea, but it looks like it is not, so it makes no sense to waste time in this

Are you sure, this idea isn't good? I mean, the mod has almost 3000 active subscriptions and is overall pretty highly rated, also looking into the comments for it in the workshop seems highly positive. Would be a pitty, i think.

For my part, i wasn't playing much rF2 in the last days and wasn't be able trying 0.94 much, because rF2 has some "annoyances" right now for me, especially when changing USB devices and starting it. (i actually have also no experience with gimp or photoshop, btw.)

Maybe the functionality has also to be more "emphasized" in the Mod title? I mean, it could be misunderstood/confused as a big-field-of-70s-cars mod, instead of the "build you freakin' own car in the stock game UI" approach, where the magic actually starts. (The existing cars are actually already pretty nice, though)

I still somewhat think, the mentioned idea with a Race Department front page would be actually a valid way to encourage more players to try out the functionality and share it... :D (a bit tongue in cheek, but this idea is the only example of this innovative utilization of the showroom system, that i know about)

But whatever you guys do, please don't remove the possibility, to LEGO the car!!

P.S. GUYS, SHARE STUFF, HOLIDAYS ARE INBOUND!!! :p

Hey Chief, do you want us to create lego cars and upload them somehow? I definitely have been playing around, creating some dream cars. It's better now since I reinstalled rF2 and the showroom works again. I'm still hoping you can implement the March 85c engine physics somehow as an option. It would be cool to create a vintage f1/indy hybrid.
 
I didn't know we were supposed to publicate our frankensteins... I didn't even know it was possible. I supposed each time we entered a server we could create it on the fly. It was the reason I asked if there were some "base" coloration without making skins.
 
Same here, I did not know they could be published. I spent more time messing around and creating cars than racing, don't stop this wonder please.
