I haven't been using rFactor 2 for some time and something has gone horribly wrong. For some reason rF2 doesn't recognize my processor as 64-bit and has gone back to 32-bit mode, in which it works as usual. When 64-bit is enabled, it shows that my CPU is "unknown @ 24MHz" and the line for DirectX has disappeared.

My CPU is Intel Core i5-4670K @ 3.40GHz

    Help! I haven't tried re-installing yet.

That is normal. The hardware detection code doesn't work properly in the 64-bit executable. If you really want to verify what's running, launch rF2, alt-tab out of the sim and then look in Task Manager. 32-bit applications have a *32 (or something.. I'm not at my PC to check) next to them under Processes.
