When you have solid axle/live axle, then you can have 4-link setup to support it.

Usually this is 4 bars forward of axle.

Main thing is adjustment of mounting poits of those bars which make that suspension setup adjustable.

To make this happen closer to reallife, I suggest this kind of arrangement in PM file.

Use naming of links so that one sets for example:
    link_left_lower
    link_left_upper
    link_right_lower
    link_right_upper

That would be default location or one end of locations.

After that it should be possible to set several new alternative locations for body mounting points which could be chosen from garage view.

Those positions would be defined in .pm file by setting new locations for bars and using specific naming, for example:
    link_left_lower_pos1
    link_left_lower_pos2... etc

It could be possible of course to allow definition of axle side points too with same basic idea.

In garage view racer could then choose pos0, pos1, pos2 etc for each link.

That would affect the geometry and handling of car and it would maintain realworld kind of adjustments for racer/mechanic.

That would also allow to make almost any kind of common setups found on rally cars (rwd) and drag racing and offroading vehicles.

Google images search 4-link setup should provide lot of reference photos about how such setup is adjusted, what it is used etc.

edit: Oh bummer, this was supposed to go into wish list section, maybe friendly moderator would be so kind and assists on moving this?

Ohhh to have long travel rear suspension setups possible. Solid rear diff, not bendable like in RF1...

That would be certainly result when solid beam axel will come. Some of that is of course already confirmed to come, but later, however when they come, I wish implementation would be something that results realworld like adjustments from garage, at least for 4-link, solid axle has no much adjustments naturally :p
