SOLVED 3DSMax 2012 64 bit crashes with build 1114 4122083

    Just for the Case that someone has the same Problem.
    Today i wanted to load a scene file into 3dsmax 2012 64 bit, after the update to rfactor build 1114, build id 4122083.
    But no matter which scene i tried to load, 3dsmax did always crash while loading.
    Fortunately i could solve the problem by using the also updated 3dsmax plugins.
    So if someone else has the same problem, do the same and the problem should be gone.

    thx yes . . . was having same issue and worked that out . . .
    but . . .
    now also cant import with 'importGMT2.ms' . . . single gmt or directory . . .
    get 'MAXScript Rollout Handler Exception' dialog box - '--Unknown property: "shader class" in CROWDS02:gMat' [for example] . . . happens with any mat or shader :eek:

    Seems to work with this workaround.
    Edit the line 211 in the script, that is this one:
    mat.shaderClass=s
    into this
    -- mat.shaderClass=s
    that deactivates it and the mesh gets loaded.
    I don't have tested it exessivly yet, but a mesh with 9 materials loads properly.

    okay . . . so . . . after being out all day tried again and max failed to import saved max files again o_O - disconnecting shaders link to material editor then reconnecting fixed that . . . hope it sticks . . .

    and using your edit in the script @Bernd can import gmt's again . . . so back in business ;)
