This question has probably been asked quite a few times before, but, since I did not find an answer that worked for me, I have to ask it again:

I converted this car, but the wheels do not revolve around the same pivot point. They "wobble" when the car moves. I imported the wheel objects, as well as the tyres, the rims and the spindles, as single objects, but I do not know where to go from there.

Can anyone explain, step by step, how to make all the wheel objects revolve around the same pivot point?

I use the latest version of the 3DSimEd program. The car is from the David Marques/Cherry 1994 mod for F1C.

    The car: GRAB_197.JPG

As visible from the picture, the rear wheel is not correct.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid that didn't answer my question.

I've altered the pivot points and the wheel coordinates like in the video, but it did not work. As seen in the following picture, the entire wheel instance is odd. The rims as well as the tyres are not in the right place, turning around a point that is not in the center of the wheel. I am not what is not working here. GRAB_198.JPG

In 3DSimEd, you can import all Meshes at the same Time as Objects (except of the Steering Wheel(s) and Helmet(s)).
Then export them as Objects again.
With that Method, all Pivot Points get set to 0,0,0 and the Tires should fit to the Rims then.
Normally you don't need to have another Pivot Point than 0,0,0 for the Meshes, except of the Steering Wheel(s) and Helmet(s), as said.

@redapg, that is the method I always use, but thanks for suggesting it.

The issue is probably within the mod itself. As seen on the picture, the wheels and tyres are in an odd place. The coordinates likely need to be changed somewhere:

Ah, OK, i thought that they were at the right Position in 3DSimEd, but not on Track or in the Showroom.
    Is it a Conversion?

Are they positioned properly, when you load the original Meshes in 3DSimEd?

EDIT is the Screenshot from the original Files?

EDIT 2 If you need Help with the Positioning, you can contact me by private Conversation.

    1. No, the wheels are not at the right place.
    2. Yes, they are from the original files, I have not changed anything, apart from adding a shader to the Simtek car.
    3. Thank you. :)

Hi, all who helped, I've decided to not bother and use a different mod as base for my own:
