Hay all, I'm currently working on a few helmets on rFactor2's 2014 helmet, but it's quite a pain to have to save the file, load a car on to a track just to be able to see the changes I made. So I downloaded a trial version of 3ds max and the correct files from the ISI "Dev corner". The .max file opens fine, but gives me 2 or 3 errors which makes no sense to me but it opens the helmet (seemingly) fine. Question is, how could I get the textures to show on it?

Hope somebody can be of help :)

    Thanks

The max file might still have gmotor shaders applied. You can still just apply a standard material with a diffuse texture. Gmotor shaders only work up to 3dsmax 2012.

Have a look for the rf2 wiki and gjed instructions as that is a viewer.

Thank you Woodee, I got the helmet to show now using GJed, definitely makes the skin work a lot easier.
