3D tree shaders

    I am trying to add 3D trees to a track, these have bump and spec textures.I do not want them to receive shadows. They are set as:

    Shadow Receiver= False but they still receive shadows.
    I know i can change Material to T1 No Shadows, but then i lose bump and spec.
    so what Shader can i use to keep bump/spec but have no shadows ?

    Just an Idea.... if you use that T1 No Shadows Shader, enter the Game and the Browser Material Editor and export that Material as a JSON File.
    Then check if the JSON File has an Entry that avoids receiving Shadows and then try to apply that Entry to the Material JSON File that allows the Use of spec and bump Files.
    Maybe that works.

    Chris, tried you method and i couldnt get it to work, game ran ok but no bump/specs. So i tried BumpSpec map T1 Stamp Vertex and although the trees are 3d models and dont rotate it seems to work ? i will continue to experiment.

    @philrob Do you work with 3DSMax?
    I think, that if you don't set the Billboard Settings in 3DSMax, it should be no Problem with 3D Trees and the Stamp Vertex Shader, in Terms of Computer Ressources.
    But "just a Guess". :)

    I dont use Max so I am guessing the game just ignores the billboard parts. That's what appears to be happening.

    There is a workaround to disable "receive shadow" for any IBL shaders material. Just set "NormalShadowInfluence" value to something like 1000 or 10000 (depends how much you want to hide shadows related to sun angle), which offsets shadow projection far away from object's surface so shadows don't show. This can be done in material editor or manually edit JSON.

    S.Victor, that's a great tip I will try that immediately. Been puzzled by this for a long time on different tracks. Ime working on a further update for Montjuic
