I'm using 2.52i version because gauges and mirrors needs render target checked and version 2.52j have a small bug related (with render target).

I'm trying to set up eight gauges in the cockpit using one Multi/Sub-Object with eight sub-materials.

    From the begining:
    - Open the material editor
    - Set Multi/Sub-Object
    - Set MORE THAN ONE Sub-Material but make sure to assign a gMat to each one
    - Set up the textures in your sub-materials
    - Assign the Multi/Sub-Object to any mesh
    - Try to do the mesh

You will get "Top level material MUST be Multi/Sub"

    JA ! Gotcha.

I've not tested this on version J, but since I'm trying to do gauges, and they all need the render target active, there is no point to upgrade my gMotorMaterial until a new version comes out.

Workarounds are welcomed, including travelling to ISI headquarters to finish the export there :D

You would probably be better off asking in the modding forums. No? I'll move your posts...
