It's possible(not to mention the amount difficulty and time it requires to achieve), but sorry this is beyond my help, as I said in targa thread that I had concluded all work on targa and moved on (there are many other things for me to do). And @Mitch9 has been hard working on targa update.
@svictor , Everything you have done, all your artistry is beyond amazing. A new level of excellence. Thank you for what you do. Pure brilliance. Beautiful.
The long promised wet update is finally here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2261065561 v2.04 FULL WET & AIW UPDATE - Updated all IBL shader materials and IBL Probes setting (improved overall color & lighting) that support the latest rendering effects. - Updated all road materials, re-enabled wet effect, remapped track visual groove and puddle with new hand-drawing groove & puddle textures. - Fixed AIW crash issues on all layouts. - Tweaked default weather preset (with a little more clouds).
For a nice wet experience, just set weather to "rain" is the easiest method, as precipitation and cloud cover will be more naturally progressed. Once it starts raining just put on rain tyre and drive. Usually about half way through the lap you will see puddles starting to gather, and similar to the screenshots when near a full lap done. (and higher SSR reflection setting will have better results)
v2.05 Wet puddle visual update - Updated puddle map texture to 4K resolution with more details, fixed wet puddle visual artifacts to work with the latest January RC build wet road rendering changes. New wet puddle visual now has a more natural and detailed look. For more info about this update, see additional notes from Dundrod thread: https://forum.studio-397.com/index....om-gpl-v2-0-updated.70925/page-8#post-1118819 Screenshot taken from current RC build:
I think today was the first time I actually completed an entire lap. Probably in the past I drive until I wrecked(usually not long) and go "AMAZING TRACK" annnnnnd then avoid it for a goodly long time. Of course, I chose rainy conditions and the Austin Mini and MIST version of the circuit. Just to verify... There are several sections in the upper regions where a series of mist clouds block the roadway. Not that it is foggy but just a repeating series of grey, misty, rectangles vertical to the track. So driving through them was like a series of Poof Poof Poof Poof. But then later, at about 75% of the lap, when the background became grassy hills without trees, the mist seemed to settle naturally onto the area. The other cars would throw up a natural looking spray that faded smoothly as the cars moved further ahead.
Having said all that....lol... I think we should have an offline competition, how long to complete 1 lap at IoM in the rain, with a Mini. Post your times here....
I did another lap in 20:55, but I didn't recorded a video, in general the lines and inputs are very similar to this one: It took me 2 weeks, at least 1 hour a day of practice to reach this level where I have enough confidence to do multiples laps in sequence without crashing. In parallel I was watching youtube onboards multiples times a day.
