Thanks for the info. Current version of spark is indeed can cause big fps issue, and this new version of road surface has more bumpiness, which in turns can result more bottoming for cars without enough ride height setting. Maybe consider to set Special Effect to low to disable spark (my card is 2070 and I have screen freeze issue with spark turned on) Sunrise and sunset is also known to have unstable & lower fps, especially when the time just "entered" sunset (as existed long ago).
v2.02 UPDATE - Added 3 new Rally Stages: * Stage 5 (18.93 km): from Keppel Gate to Ballacraine. * Stage 6 (15.31 km): from Greeba Castle to Rhencullen. * Stage 7 (17.31 km): from Ginger Hall to Bungalow. - Fully reworked trackside cameras with two available cam groups: * Cam Group 1 includes 203 new tracking cams for complete & best viewing coverage. * Cam Group 2 includes 219 static cams that were originally created by Jim from GPL version. Note: rF2 defaults to "Cycle camera groups" that will constantly switch between tracking & static camera group. It's however better to only view one "camera group" by using "Tracking cameras" Hotkey. Cam Group 2 does not cover every area. For complete cam coverage, use Cam Group 1 instead. - Added more ambient sound sources at various locations. - Adjusted all ambient sound volume, range & position that blends more naturally into the track. - Improved default weather preset. - Added some more chimney smoke. - Various small fixes.
Ok. Now I really need to figure out a way to do a proper hillclimb-style event! "Awesome" doesn't really cover this. But it is awesome!
Forgot to mention, there is currently no further update plan after v2.02 (unless if any serious issue that would break the track and which requires a fix). Please feel free to open up servers and get friends to have some fun online race/trackday. And lastly, thank you all for the supports.
Thank you for all the work on this Epic sized track. Thank you making the Rally Stages, I've been enjoying just restarting the same stage lots of times to see if I can beat my previous time. In the process in doing that, testing out all your new collision walls. I can report all good . Think I got near to the AI lap times on one. I still not learnt the full course yet. On the subject of AI, would it help if the collision from this wall at the end of stage was removed and let the AI drop off the end of the track to stop what you see in the picture. They make a yellow flag and make a few stutters when they smash their cars in the fence. Or maybe add Special slow down points after the finish to the AIW. But no big deal. Thank you again for doing the impossible, possible
Thank you very much, incredible work. How good is that there are people so dedicated and careful in what they do.
First chance to drive the new update the other day and the surface is just perfect. It's so believable and feels just like a typical uk road. It's subtle, not exaggerated, but incredibly detailed. Really looks stunning too. Thank you!
