Perhaps the honor system and posting a screen shot of the the lap time? Nevermind...the first half of my solution is unworkable, and the 2nd requires some clicks and things....silly me.
Seeing more and more people enjoy the track is one of the best reward The track is exceptional fun with a few buddy for a weekend trackday session as well. And I feel RF2 has a lot potential to become a great casual online cruise/trackday sim
Many, many thanks to everyone who contributed. This is a dream come true for me. The attention to detail is easy to see!
v1.05 update - Added retroreflectors to road posts - Improved & fixed various textures and materials - Fixed visual problem with road shading (recalculated all mesh normals) - Cleaned up unnecessary meshes and materials - Mountain mist is now only visible during day time Enjoy!
First of all I just want to say congratulations to S.Victor for what it an absolute amazing conversion of the most incredible track for GPL. I have been following Jim's work eevr since he released the abridged version of IoM on GPL many years ago, and have poured hours upon hours of driving into to both IoM and Dundrod in GPL. S.Victor this track looks amazing going just from the screenshots and video. Great work man. With that having been said, I have a couple of quick questions... 1)I haven't been keeping up with rFactor 2 news in a while, but does this game support VR? If so, how well does this conversion drive in VR? Any glitches or performance issues? 2)With this track now having been successfully converted, this marks the first time Jim as allowed any of his tracks to be brought over to other sims. An historic and momentous occasion indeed. But with that being said, we all know what his *OTHER* great track is, right? That's right ....Dundrod! S.Victor would you be willing to convert Jim's version of Dundrod to rFactor 2? I have a third question that I will ask you in private.
Thanks for the confirmation woodey. It'll be a while before I can play any videogames right now because of vision problems but once I get that corrected I'm off to the races and anxious to try this as well as Targa Florio
This is simply an amazing piece of art. I too remember both Dundrod and IOM from GPL, loved them then and absolutely love this version. I can't imagine all the hours that went into this, thank you Jim for the originals and S. Victor for this version!
v1.06 update - gamma correction for all textures - removed garage collision detection and replaced with new invisible wall (to prevent some large vehicles like "Boxmaster" getting stuck inside tent) - adjusted IBL probe - improved various objects
The amazing and wonderful GPLaps has just posted a fantastic video of S.Victor's IOM for rF2 with great(as usual) commentary. A fun watch
