Thanks to the latest tire physics parameters included in the last build (WetTerrainEffect= ) we can achieve more realistic effects for wet tires, depending on track surface wetness.
It's great to see how they keep cold and stable when the track is wet, and also exciting to see them burn and quickly degrade when the track dries, making almost impossible to drive them on a dry surface. They actually smoke while cornering, reaching more than 200º!
Also interesting the effect on handling, because they really feel like driving on chewing gum...
I want fire, pain, fear, destruction !!!
Check LCD screen for tire temperatures and wear
Go to 8:38 for fatal destruction of rain tires
Some data as reference:
Track wetness: 74% (start), 58% (end)
Tire wear indicators after 8 minutes on track: 92%-94%-92%-94%
Track wetness: 2% (almost dry)
Tire wear indicators after 4 minutes on track : 60%-71%-56%-68%
Wet tire optimum temperature: around 58º
(Thermal degradation not included on wear indicators)
Nice to see that this mod isn't dead!

Hm i only get the 0.96 version from Steam
I did not expect an update of this fabulous mod. He was very good, he became unavoidable. Bravo.
If you were subscribed before, it should auto-download the update. Close rF2 and see if Steam begins the download?
If what Emery said doesn't work, you can unsubscribe and then after a minute or so re-subscribe to the mod. That will fix it.
I tried it and even that did not work. I restart solved the problem. Thank you for your great work
I don't know where you live, but it works for me sometimes to change the "download" country into the Steam client configuration. Then close the client and start it again.
Thank you for 1.0
First thing I checked was if windshields get wet. I checked Sauber and Porsche. Sauber - nope. Porsche - yes. But wiper doesn't work, so I don't get the logic, maybe something is wrong on my end.
I also find it a bit strange how the grip is sorted, but I am really not sure and shouldn't say anything more without more driving.
Very nice, thank you Petros.
I sent you an email; will Paypal $20 USD to you as a token of gratitude if you're taking donations. Reply to the email from imsa.gtp1.
Is there also a 80,s track pack out there to drive on older track layout??
problem with wipers and rain effects i notice so far
wipers works only for Mazda but they dont clean the rain
porsche and Sauber wipers dont work at all
and at Sauber the glass has no rain effect on it
Wasn't expecting this. So happy, can't wait to check it out!
Thanks for the early Christmas present
