I think your paintings are great. Some years ago I painted a NR2003/GTP Sauber to look (somewhat) like the original longtail Porsche-Martini "Hippie" 917LH #3 Le Mans Car from the 70ties. It took me 1 month until I was satisfied with the result. So I know it takes a lot of talent and patienceeeee.
i see Great job ! Yes, it use a long time to have a beautifful skin, i know. i haven't so much this time. i think it doesn't mater if the courbes (curbes ?) are not exactly the same. I have played to NR2003 and its mod GTP, it was my first experience on pc simulator. i enjoyed it !
Eventhough Im an iRacing member I have solely been driving rF2 for about 4 month now - but I still consider good ol GTP for NR2003 as some kind of wellknown old fiance. And painting skins for NR2003/GTP is principally very easy. Hehe principally Because you just have to paint a simple tga picture and then tell NR2003 to import it. Thats all there is - principally
Wow, these skins are amazing. Just shows how talented people are out there and willing to contribute when there is a car worth the effort.
Perhaps we can convince Tim W. to convince Gjon to fully embrace the era. Ferrari 512, etc and (hint, hint) some running mates for the Howston H4 & H6. (perhaps a White car with moveable wings, a Butterscotch car or two, and then unique efforts like Gurney's twin winged Mclegal, or the Ferrari with mesh airbrakes, or the Lola with the extended wing in front of the nose.) <waves hand>
Or how about one of Jim Halls legendary Chaparral racers. Then rF2 would be the first sim to incorporate these cars that was way ahead of their time.
Wow great mod thank you! Looking forward to some Interserie/Can Am racing with the Howstons, T70 Spyder, T280 and a Mclaren M8c. Also check out the Haynes Manual for the 917 great light reading!
can you send me the two last skins billyblaze ? when done i compile the new version with all the skins
My goodness. How many mods do we see today with that fanatical level of detail and attention?...plus a period-appropriate Website to go with them. Astonishing.
GPL also has Can Am 1966, including the 2E to run along side the early T70. So many cars! So few modders! This 917 is off to a fantastic start. The skins alone are worth the price of admission. . . . Oh. Wait. There is no price. Thank you to all the talented artists.
