and if you want to see the icons as 1024 jpg, one by one, from a 7z, now you can https://drive.google.com/open?id=123DLXjI9-CEzthJfvgEP-_iW8bU-V4hG
NEW VERSION - v1.230 This is the official release for this update, including the new icons. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1PbzUPcR-QZYt-pxhB5MByBa6cDtZv3t- Steam workshop also updated >> HERE << Online icon gallery of the available cars >> HERE << Also updated since the preview - slightly brighter headlight textures - some reallocation of the baseline physics (A/B/C) for the 0.75L cars - minor balance adjustments between the baseline physics groups - baseline B and C top speeds updated in icons What are the baseline physics? The 0.75L cars at LM in the era were so slow that they caused significant issues with the rF2 AI driving the faster cars, typically meaning accidents while lapping. So all the 0.75L cars have had their performance artificially boosted, just so much that they might compete with the slowest of the 1.1L group. There are minor drag, power, and torque differences between the three baseline physics sets. ------------------------------------------------------- Thanks ISI & Studio 397 for the AC Cobra 427, which is the physics and graphics basis of this 1954 mod. Thanks redapg for the Online Tools used for initial physics changes. Thanks Nibo for the rF2 Log Analyzer. Thanks Yoss for some initial help and tips. ------------------------------------------------------- woochoo: mod idea, research, initial physics changes, liveries, texture edits, sfx edits, mesh edits, driver names, testing. mantasisg: physics development, testing, research. bears: additional driver names, testing. Rujasu: simulation data/testing, additional driver names. jimagn: testing. boomer20: testing. Mauro: entry list spreadsheet.
Looks like I just come in the right minute to see that workshop has been updated, awesome coincidence, and it is a great feeling to have something contributed to rF2 community, I hope cars will be good to drive for you Great stuff @woochoo Nice helpful list @Mauro Also thanks for testers of the cars, help was absolutely necessary for so many cars, and things. Feedback on physics still welcome by me, I will definitely pay attention to the good useful feedback.
car roster class by class maybe it could be useful for online leagues too (and you could edit .ods file adding drivers name, ect..) car roster .ods Libreoffice format: Link P.S. yes, i miss Sports 0.75 l, but .ods file was too heavy
Fantastic mod! Thank you to all, esp. woochoo and mantasisg. The physics is a pleasure. So much variety and attention to detail. Well done, Mauro.
i have to say this is like a "all time" dream from me, since read the Mille Miglia books, start to feel in love with this era of racing and with all this cars, since GPL days, now it is possible to drive virtually, with not to dream with Dundrod or even Targa Florio
Getting an current (graphically) version of the Leinz Festival full circuit would be great with these cars. Even better if it was in period. Be a great job with all of these cars!
oh my god, your work is a dream for me and thanks for car icons with all specs very useful and car roster too just tryed this cars at Riverside short are amazing!
just had a 30 car race at Oulton Park 1960s. What a race, the cars are fantastic with a very steep learning curve, at least for me.
Will templates be made available for painting the cars? Would love to have my own classic livery. Fantastic mod!
For now, you should be ok using the original Cobra template, but there might be some AO/Shadow that isn't needed, depending on which car body you're working with. I hadn't planned to do templates, but perhaps I could. The photoshop file has ballooned with the different types and would need some sorting out
I've been a GPL addict for 20 years, this is the closest thing I've found: wonderful is the word to sum it up. I am testing it in Le Grand Lemans and it seems to me that I am Froilan Gonzalez with the fabulous Ferrari 5.0 liters. Congratulations. Only one problem: I can't see the cars in the showroom. Thank you very much for this Mod!
Thanks @Claudio Navonne , glad you're enjoying it Not sure why the cars aren't working in the showroom, but they haven't been showing the correct trackwidth, so the tyres (usually the rears) intersect the arches on most or all cars. I think that's related the original physics mas being encrypted and some conflict is emerging in the showroom, but on track they're ok
Thank Woochoo for your quick response. The cars in the showroom don't feel anything, just some shine from the tires, but then the black screen, so I can't really appreciate your beautiful works of art.
wow, sorry I haven't had anything like that happening before. I don't have any clue about it either Maybe unsub > resub? but that might not help
