I have a gtx980ti is it possible to run a center screen at 144hz gsync and two None gsync 60hz cheap Side monitors at 60hz. I am assuming that the frame rate may be at 144hz but the two side monitors will update at there 60hz refresh rate. The obvious reason is cost, i am not worried about colour match. If it is yes, are there any pit falls. Windows 7. 980ti I5 6600k. Cheers
I think of it using two PCs, two copy of rf2 in multiplayer mode (maybe cheaper than two other 144hz monitors). But it may be quite trouble to align the screens and not sure screens can be synchronized.
This is an interesting question. I was always been led to believe that such a setup would default to 60hz for all three monitors even if all other monitor characteristics were similar, eg, size and pixel resolution.
This is good question to which I don't have a full answer. I would think that you'd need more than one card to output at two different speeds. Probably be better with 120hz for your main screen rather than the full 144hz as this may provide overall smoother visuals across all three screens. I also have a 144hz gsync 2K and tried to connect another screen that was 1080p 60hz. I could only get both screens running at 1080/60hz, but that was with my limited knowledge.
I must assume that is not possible, it would cost me £900 for three 144hz Gsync monitors Compared with £450 for one 24" Gsync and two 60hz monitors. quite a saving?
Afaik it's not possible if you want Nvidia surround or ATI Eyefinity. Your refresh rate would drop to 60 Hz. Even when I tried connecting one of my 144 Hz monitors through the HDMI cable I was limited to 60 hz for all (when using surround).
