Is it possible to run simvibe and tridef at the same time? Both require a launcher, so I'm not sure how this would work.
Nope, I had them in the trial version. Those options are crucial to setting it up. You don't have the HMD option at all in the On Screen Display?...
There is a "Safe FOV" button in Tridef. Default is 50 FOV I think. You just hit a button to switch between safe (Menu) FOV and the standard FOV.
I did manage to get rF2 to work, changed a bunch of settings, not sure what it was that solved it. :D I'm sure I'll find out as I turn stuff back...
Gotcha, I was going by the rF1 instructions to not use Force FOV both, but it does work fine when I use that. rF1 works great, but I can not load...

Bind "look down" to something on your wheel in rFactor, that recenters the view.
That's good. You should turn off headtracking in Tridef anyway. And restart afterwards.
Make sure to bind a key to Safe FOV in Tridef as well, otherwise it's really hard to navigate the menus in rFactor. Unfortunately my Tridef...

Yeah, I doubt we will get official support before the consumer version. But rF1 and 2 where two of my favorite games with the DK1 and Tridef....
So, Tridef does work ok with DK2. rFactor runs and looks ok with some issues of course. No chromatic correction, probably no low persistence....
