Hey, I'm a big fan of Truck Racing and really enjoyed the respective mod from @Tommy78. I just tried to revive it for personal use, but found that the trucks are barely driveable because they appear to have way too less grip - while AI is just driving away and can take corners really quick, I have to slow down too much to stay on track. I assume it must be the (player) tires, simply because so much has changed in that area of physics I already tried to fix the tires using the online tools made by Chris (redapg), but I do just feel a very little bit of improvement - still, I could have used the tools wrongly So, I would really appreciate if someone could help me here - no matter if that's by just pointing in the right direction or by providing completely new tires Thank you!
OK, looks like my request/question was way too generic. So let's try a precise question instead: How do I increase the grip of an tire? Is there a single factor that could be modified or is it required to modify the curves?
Try mess whit theses lines until you got it,but theres more stufs, this is only the basic, attention,im not a PRO hehe
If i remember it right, chris (redapg) once told me, that the tgm values StaticBaseCoefficient= SlidingBaseCoefficient= can be used to modify the basic grip. Just try it out.
I was going to link you to the tyre pdf but I can't find it on the s397 site. Those two lines are indeed responsible for the overall grip, and won't break anything else.
RubberPressureSensitivityPower=(-1.2,5.4e5,5e5,1) Try mess whit this line too,but only the frist value.
Depending on what tgm tyre file you started with, you may find the mass/inertia of the vehicle may be too much for the tyre and grip loss is occuring sooner due to that. It may be a situation where building a tyre using the tgm spreadsheet would be better. Plus, you may be able to get a bit more information on construction of the tyre(plys, belts etc)
