it' a little bit the same thing like the Clark or Laffite helmet, in some mods or games they was also black. but the Clark helmet was dark blue and the Laffite helmet dark green
I have that same model kit! I did it last year. It was a b**** to put together and most of the decals dissolved. Good looking car though.
Interesting, always thought it was black, going for a Lotus 79' JPS look, also the windscreen is a different shape on Aries Lola
@ChiefWiggum part of a logo doesn't appear where it should. It shows up on the other side of the car body: Is there a fix for this?
Here's a shot of Luyendyk's Road version. I played around with the colour to get a subtle, deep blue. What do you guys think? I'm hoping to get a hand. The logos between the Bosch and PPG and the one below that. Does anyone know what they are? Lastly, does it say 'graphics by' Vernon & Sons, or 'ceramics by'?
Joe, there should be two body pieces (left and right) near the cockpit on the template, Those are the covers for the cowling by the intake/exhaust. Forgive me if you already knew that.
I think the one logo is Vandervell Engine bearings. I had that logo on the Foyt cars but in white. I'll sent that one over to ya. I think the Vernon one says "Graphics". I can't make out what the one next to the Valvoline is. I'll get the STS logo uploaded as well tomorrow. I didn't get time to do it tonight. Sorry
Yeah, I do know about those pieces. The problem is that when I place the logo on one of them, the middle part of the logo shows up on the opposite side and doesn't line up with anything. The upper part of that piece seems to be where the problem is.
don't know, the Jacques Villeneuve car looks a little bit strange, it looks different to ehe other Marchs, I have edited the shape a little bit, lower nose, bigger windscreen, the part around the cockpit is more square, the driver position is deeper (is "Uncle Jack" so short?) what do you think?
Who would have thought that this one chassis had this many variations! I just noticed the head rest area must have been an addon body panel Also this did seem like the most common rear wing end plate of the reference pics that I found. Penkse had the current Option 1, and that smaller option 2 one seemed like a Long Beach/ short oval package. I haven't confirmed on the video. But IMO, that does seem like a lot of minor stuff. I like what @Corti said, is make that high "Red Roof inn" area lower and raise the helmet up just a little bit from the latest WIP. That should great! The side scoop on the left side along with the body line should be moved forward. Other than that, I'm completely ok with the way that the model is. I look forward to any update!
From what I see in actual photos vs. the in sim cars, seems the 3D car body needs to be slightly longer ??, both the March and the Lola.
