Hi, I want to know something about off-throttle engine recording/editing. How can I edit on-throttle sounds to sound like off-throttle using Audacity? Are there any tutorial on how to make an on-throttle sound like off-throttle? I have many on-throttle sounds but I want to make them off-power too.

I suspect the answer depends on whether this is an open- or closed- cockpit car and, if closed-cockpit, whether the windows are up or down. Turbo vs. non-turbo probably plays a role, too.

Hmm... For an open-cockpit car, I suspect you can get away with changing the volume mixing in the SFX file.

I think the "tone" changes too much between on-power and off-power to really pull it off, but if you play around with the equalizer (graphic, so you can adjust sliders easily) you might get something useable. Volume is easy if you can get that right.
