Hi, with the new updates, i noticed, that all the jumbo screens do not work any more. The jumbo screen worked fine with "framebuffer" and "L2DIFFUSET0XT1" shader. Now they only show black screens. Did the material change? Does anybody know, how to adjust to new material? Thanks for any hints. Peter
Hello Leonardo1962 (Peter), we asked this question in the Discord of rFactor2. Unfortunately, there was no response from S397. Maybe a PM to Marcel or Elliot judge.
Do you REALLY expect a solution for a bug in such a short time as just 6 months? This planet will probably solve the Climate crisis before we can have this bug fixed.
As far as i know the screens are installed by the organizers of the race series. A circuit has or not Jumbo screens depending on the race. Wich does not mean that the bug doesn't exist.
ISI removed it from the max exporter many many years ago, the only way to get it to work, if I'm not mistaken, is through 3dsimed. So it's probably not meant to be used, seeing as no official tracks in the past six or so years haven't used it.
Seems, that video walls (Jumbo Screens) are working again (at least in Berlin 2020 formula E track) ! Does anybody knows the needed changes for videowall material in mods (does it still works with framebuffer.tga)? Thanks for hints
Emissive color, to be set in the material settings, is used to make objects being "enlighted" at night. Black color lets them stay unlighted and white color enlightens them. Maybe colors between have an effect too, like if you select red, that the object has a red light effect.
Thanks for that very helpful information. hmm, i have not found any gmt with a shader named like “Track Side Live TV Monitor”. Can you provide such a GMT file example with “Track Side Live TV Monitor” shader, .. would be very useful
In 3dsmax, the shader is listed in the material selection. Here is a gmt with that shader, exported from 3dsmax. I hope that helps. EDIT OOps i forgot the emissive color... wait a few minutes for a new gmt EDIT 2 Here is the new mesh with white emissive color
How is that meant? Do you mean how you get acces to it in 3dsmax? BTW i have tested the exported mesh at joesville, but it don't works. Seems as if something is missing.
