@J853 Some licensed cars have whole groups of channels (channel categories really, like 'wheels' or 'tyres') blocked in order to hide data the manufacturers don't want visible. It's likely because of that. Try other cars, especially mods or some of the other base content, if at least one car works that will confirm it's not the plugin.
Thanks again ... how do I change it so that telemetry recording is off by default, so that CTRL + M turns it on in the first instance? Also, noticed a 5-8% FPS hit after installation? I deleted the .dll plugin in the 32-bit folder, only have the 64-bit on installed.
Search "DAMPlugin.ini" in "rFactor 2\UserData\player" open with a text editor like Notepad First line under General it should be on 1 set it to zero [General] Active on startup = 0 // Sets whether logging is active by default; 1=yes, 2=no Save
Do you guys know if S397 changed something about logging Tyre Loads? I did some recent tests with the McLaren 650s GT3 and the Tatuus USF-17 and missed these channels. I'm used to some channels being locked due to licensing (which is a shame in a hardcore sim, anyway...), but I looked at some older (Jan/2019) GTE logs and the Tyre Loads were ok. Loaded a week-old GTE log from Le Mans and nothing!
They do occasionally change which channels are blocked in vehicle updates. Guessing that's the case here.
Does anyone know a way around the blocked channels? It's pretty unfortunate that they do this because rfactor 2 is a proper sim and that data is part of tuning the car...
Is there something i have to do in motec i2 like set an offset for classes for suspension travel, ground clearance ? Because i am bottoming out with -23,5 and thats with packers. Why is there a negative value anyway ?
@Akela_DE That's suspension position, not ride height. And I don't think suspension position is 0 at the end of the suspension travel, it's perhaps the design position that sets the 0 - but I'm not sure.
Hi, getting back into the data Motec system for rF2. I have been working on my wheel and noticed a thing…. Sometimes the data in Motec has the FFB output and sometimes it don’t. Sometimes the tire info is in Rfcenter and sometimes it is in Rfcentre. Is there a way to control what output comes out of rF2 to the Motec system? I’m running the 397 GT3 mod for these issues, thanks!
I only have one in 64 bin, the one in 32 bin I just renamed 'temp' and it still didn't FFB, and didn't see any change.
The centre/center thing is plugin specific. If you're getting a mix it sounds like one or the other is creating the file first. You're only running rF2 in either 32 or 64 bit, so assuming you run 64 bit I'd suspect you have the DAMPlugin and telemetry plugin in the bin64 folder.
I don't agree. rF2 is outputing different channels at different times. I disabled the DAMP in 32bit. Ran about 6 runs, the last one is the only one that had FFB. Interestingly, the one that has FFB also has the tyre Carcass temp, the logs without FFB don't have the tyre carcass temps. Edit: I think you may be onto the issue, I am getting 2 log files for each run. I didn't think much about it till now, one has the FFB and the other not, so it was ending up just which one I picked to open. Now....... How/why am I getting two DAMP files?
You have to have 2 plugins. There's no other way. The other one will be the 'rF2 telemetry plugin' though I actually can't remember the exact plugin name.
