Ok, Just finished a session with Bryan and he's sticking with the Autodrom Most circuit. First time here for me (missed the last race here) but it's an easy track to learn...2.58 miles in the 1:40's.
This track appears in your track list as Most Autodrom.

As the numbers have dropped in the last few weeks, Bryan and I were wondering what we can do to build back up to decent grid sizes. Any thoughts?
Do we need a change of cars more often?
    Different format?
    Thoughts?

Probably has more to do with the time of year than anything else.

    And numbers everywhere are down.

It can't be much more accessible than it is - drivable cars, not too fast, not too loose (but enough to be fun). Last week I jumped on 50 mins before the race and learned the track on a default set and was competitive. Anyone wanting it easier than that is probably a liability.

For now we have the Tatuus @ Castle Combe Classic to see what people think. If they are not popular Bryan is happy to change.:)

For those who still race the historic F3's and those who might be interested, how does everyone feel about mixing up the format from time to time? Maybe once a month having a 45min race with a mandatory pitstop. I know this makes it a bit longer for the UK racers but we are trying to come up with some ideas to build the grid sizes but mostly keeping the content we usually run.

Just for info guys i don't show a lot because with energy saving times here in the Netherlands, the time slot of the races don't fit me that well. Start on hour later then in wintertime is a bit on the late side for me.........most of the time to drunk by then :p

Meanwhile an hour earlier and I probably wouldn't make it. Any thoughts to have much shorter qual and do 2 qual + race sessions?

Longer race means little for those that fall out, while pitstops done with varying skill (not everyone practices laps much already, let alone pitstops) will often just break up close battles. A second race can help keep people in the first one as they will get a second shot, but too long and some will give up anyway. But if doing two the schedule needs to be tight so people don't miss the second qual/race.

No easy way out I guess. And we're currently drawing from a small pool either way.

Or shorter Qual, Race 1 then Race 2 grid determined by Race 1 results?

That would be the easier way for everyone to race again, yes. I was thinking more to have a gap between the races so people can join, while some people might make the first but not the second, or vice versa.

Or just pick a few formats at random and see what happens :D

Like most adages, the racing one of "You can't win on the first lap, but you can lose on the first lap" is there for a reason.

Luckily avoided the couple of incidents in front of me and fought out a podium spot, great racing. Onto next week!

Bad luck with the connectivity issues Lazza.
This week we are at New Jersey Motorsport Park. It's the latest addition in the workshop.
Oh, and it looks like we are giving the 917's a run....FUN

Yeah, seems like I was just unlucky on that one. Swapped back to the old modem but no change (you might have seen me briefly get back on TS, before it dropped again), so reinstated the new one and after an hour or so of dropouts it seems to have stabilised. So guessing it wasn't anything on my end, at this stage. (coincidentally - hopefully - I had my power off for a bit yesterday while getting some downlights replaced (that same sparky came back to do the job :)). The prospect of some strange interference causing issues wasn't appealing)

Might get some earlier practice in this time :)

*Oh, excellent track for these. A few twisty bits between straights, only 6 gearchanges a lap on default gearing, and a tyre killer that'll need some management for a 30 minute race. Good stuff
