Great result guys well done. I ran these at Senormen's updated Donington last night and they are brilliant together!
We've been working away hard on tyres and physics for the front wheel drive cars and found the sweet spot this week. Testing will continue, but for next update the cars will have less aero yet be a far closer match to the real world machines. Although the video may seem relatively calm, the drive is far more engaging as the changes brings positive and lively handling, less understeer. If you've ever seen the Andrew Jordan 2012 Thruxton pole lap onboard...that's how it feels! We've also added new tyres with much improved tyre performance, heating and wear. RWD next Thanks for the continued support!
Why RWD? You are the top pros for FWD. Do you know what I would wish from you? I think I'm not the only one .. A WTCR series! That would be perfect!
You'll be right. I've always been traveling with the Mercedes. A WTCR mod would really be world class .
Thanks! Always room for improvement. The Levorg 0.95 is the best we have publically done so far, no doubt. But the whole mod needs new tyres, as the tyre life is too short and aggressive - even for BTCC. So the tyre change is being made on all cars (FWD and RWD). When introducing new tyres it has a big change on the balance and handling of the car, so we're just making sure that these small improvements don't make the RWD slower or faster than the FWD. We aim to make the balance between FWD and RWD as close and equal as possible. We also have new data about RWD weight distribution, aerodynamics and brake balance. But don't worry, the new Levorg won't be miles apart from the previous. It's definitely a step in the right direction, fixing issues we know and feel needed addressing to further improve on what we have. WTCR is maybe a future project, but so many cars and little resources it's a big ask.
Hi, for the TCR mod maybe could get in contact with an Italian moder team the assetto corsa rollovers they made a good one for Assetto Corsa? Claude
Such a fantastic mod. But fix the mirror positioning please, they are not working. Please. Oh and the focus sound *meeeeemeeeemeeooobbbrzzmmeeeee
Thanks! Yes, the mirrors are being or are fixed. Also fixed the class issue. We're just working on a few things before we release an update. Sounds are something we're looking to do, but we have a fair few things we wanna tick off.
Tell me something about tirepressure plz. Are the defaults right or should we go higher/lower ? The FWD eats the tires, medium or soft, no big difference
It's front wheel drive, so the fronts are doing the steering AND are the driven wheels. In VEC a couple of years back the Nissan did the whole 24hrs only taking front tyres.
The tyres are a known issue, which is why we're developing new ones. We've seen the wear rate on a real BTCC car, so we're aiming to be closer to that. But like @AMillward says, FWD are pushing the front tyres a lot.
@StrawmanAndy Hi. Did you use the physics of the S397 Civic as the basis for your cars, and what tires do you use ? Indeed, the tires of the Civic had been updated during the update of rain : What are these tires that are used?
Are you guys going to keep Aidan Moffatt in the A Class or are you going to bring the Infiniti into the mod? Doesn't matter if you're not.
Skins are work in progress as of this moment, but I believe we will add the Moffatt Merc skin as we have created liveries for drivers who have done part of the season too. Whether we create the Infiniti is another question as we decided not to develop one due to it being made redundant after the 2015 season. We've got a few cars lined up, but really depends on the amount of work needed.
Nope, we're just very busy. We're testing a new build as we speak, new tyres, aero and tweaking it to be similar pace as the real life BTCC. WSR still active for fun racing and being the beta testing league
